Heylo all! Was thinking about entering a jam recently, though to compose music instead of making a game.

The genre I do is mainly (dark)synthwave or songs that are more energetic if that's something you're going for in this jam.

Some songs I have if you're interested.

That sucks. My first one was actually a jam from Lospec. I ended up dropping out mid way because it was (the asset making) was too tough at the time

Creating a game is easier said than done, and first time jammers should be proud you've made it, no matter the quality of your game. Though, I didn't participate in the jam, I'll still be playing and showing off games to friends like I did for the previous mini jam.

you can continue updating/polishing the game after you've submitted, just leave an original jam version to be downloaded. I didn't participate in this jam, but that's what i did for my game for the previous mini-jam

Hey sorry this game didnt get rated during the jam but its pretty cool, took a while to understand the first level though

It's mainly convenience sake, I think. That and almost everyone can play on browser (except mobile). I didn't want to leave the lowest rated games at 1-2 rated. I even rated the android one. I'd like the actual download games get the same love, though thankfully the one I was rooting for ended up coming first.

not sure if you've seen mine, but if you haven't

Its a cool little game, but the sprite is a little blurry and you can make it to the end without losing all energy or needing a beacon

It's cool that you two used your own engine for this! But, the camera was very stuttery and it in general made the game close to unplayable for me

rated 21, but I plan on rating more

Pretty funny game, and no matter what you do you fail

Thanks for the feedback! For the screen size, I went with something like Enter the Gungeon as a reference, though maybe it could be zoomed out a bit more. You're definitely not the only one who found out the weapons weren't balanced, so I updated and worked on them a little more on the updated version.

Alrighty, rated!

Pretty good looking game and charming. A puzzle took a little longer to finish since I had to keep checking which buttons controlled which doors, but overall a solid game

yeah definiyely. I've been doing that as well, going through and rating the least rated games. At least the ones that work

Im going to be playing some games to show them to some friends. Post them here so I can rate them and if you can, be sure to play mine as well if you havent yet!

Here's mine, I'll check yours out later

I personally think the player and the torches, the towers colliding with each other makes sense I feel. Though thats just my opinion

After playtesting the game after the submissions phase ended, I realized it was incredibly hard with the pistol and shotgun, and that you basically had to use the rifle to beat it.

Also for the camera issue, funnily enough losing an eye as a sacrifice was thought about, but that's actually a bug. The camera wasn't being enabled in the later stages.

If you want, I recommend trying the updated version, it's now beatable with any weapon, while still being a challenge for all of them!

Wasn't going to be rng at first. Was going to be something to strategize and see what would be better sacrificing first. Glad you like it however!

Concept is pretty interesting, though there were clouds I couldn't get because they were stuck in the rocks

Yeah once theres a lot of enemies, its kinda hard to see who's getting hit. Never got around to putting in some sort of damage numbers that pop out. Thanks for the review!

Rated and reviewed! Could you check mine out? And enjoy your vacay

Pretty cool game, surprisingly the only TD game I've seen in this jam

The arrows being able to collide with anything is a little annoying, but I guess its a pretty good way to prevent cheesing

EDIT: forgot some feedback, oops

Played and rated! Could you check out mine? I'm lacking in ratings a bit

Fun game swerving in between cars and drifting max speed just to minimize the amount of people that'll explode. At least I went out listening to some jams

Title. I wanted to update my game with stuff that I wanted to get done before the jam (sounds, a better-ish looking title, dual wielding, etc.) Is it fine if I post the updated version of the game, while also leaving the original jam build?

Hit box is pretty big for the player, but that just might be me. Is a pretty challenging game

A funny short game, but I think you confused the theme for the limitation

Pretty fun game. Reminded me of Papers, Please, just only purgatory edition. I did find quite a bit of misspellings, but it didn't hurt the game any

This is very fun! I can see myself wasting time on this on a full release. The controls felt great, and so did the dashing. I really can't think of any issues I had, except that picking the projectile speed+ sacrifice was the easy choice since the projectiles didn't really move fast in the first place. I think the only boss I died to was the hulk demon.

Rated your game, was a bit hard

Gameplay is pretty simple, but fun nonetheless

It's fine, I should have exported it to other platforms as well, but I didn't think about that at the moment

I liked the concept, the somber tone reminds me of something like What Remains Of Edith Finch, where there isn't any winning, or really losing, you're just "there" discovering what happened.  I do wish that there was a different outcome depending on what you took/left behind, but overall the game was charming

If you haven't already, heres my game! I'd appreciate it if you also left some criticism since Im also going to uploading a more updated version of the game (though I'll be keeping the original jam build)

Great game and good looking art! I got a little lost at the start looking for C1 though, but it went smoothly after that.

The game was pretty funny, and quite a lot of enemy types. I somehow glitched it and went past the next level trigger, so I was able to stand on top of the green platform. Also over shooting those dashes probably killed me the most

Not bad, I liked the game, and honestly was really impressed this was made in 8.0 Pro. When you start getting more orbs is when the fun starts ramping up, though as soon as I got my 3rd one, I died :(. Great game though!
