hey yall! just uploaded a video essayish dev log for my entry to the jam, optigolf. talk about my experiences in the jam, the trials and tribulations of coding and how it all came together.

has anyone else posted a vlog or anything, i'd love to watch/read any

this was very fun! I love the idea of the swarm following you being used as a weapon, it lead to some fun maneuvering which let me attack multiple circles at once. loved stretching out the edges of the level that was a nice touch. satisfying game, not sure how i would take damage or die though

made my game in pygame. had a lot of fun, love the freedom it offers

heres the code, its not pretty haha because i'm working by myself. its self explanatory if you can read my mind

:)

this was so fun! fun concept. it got hard very quickly. I love goats and herding games so this was right up my alley

the time bar is really cool. I was pretty confused on how to get started, but i dont play many strategy games. could have used a long tutorial because it seems like there is so much here to play with

its too late now lol, but those of you in the jam who compiled your own games. what is your solution for including the assets inside the exe? I ended up having to include the exe and the assets in the same directory zipped together.

I use pyinstaller and i thought this would allow me to include it all in one file so the user didnt have to see all the behind the scenes stuff, but i couldn't get it to work right.

the sounds in this game are so creepy! love it

very fun! maybe a visual cue when the anomalies are happening would help for player comprehension

feel like I will probably finish, but it might not feel as polished as I was hoping.  I definitely dont have half the game done yet, but I am speeding up.

certainly not a suspicious thing to ask lol

pygame gang!

this might help you find pyinstaller

Hi! I'm working on a new tutorial this week actually. Add samples by dragging and dropping them onto the button from your desktop or another window. Do this from the main screen not the tuning screen.

Sorry for the confusion. Have fun!

super strange! is your Music directory default location set to "C:" drive?
