thanks for playing! :D

thank you! :D

thanks so much for the video! :D

Great use of the theme - love the creepy atmosphere and the art! Clever gameplay as well!

Thanks so much! :D

Thank you!

Oh. My. God.

Whoever designed the world is a fan of "Blame!", I take it? Automatic game of the jam for me haha.

Really well done on the world-building, atmosphere, and art. Unfortunately I got stuck on the keypad puzzle - but I'm absolutely in love with the world of this game.  Great job.

Thanks for playing! Will be working on that full version throughout the voting period. (uploading only once it ends ofc)

Hey! Glad to hear from you again, I still remember your game from the Bitter Sails jam. Thanks for playing another one of my games.

I'll make sure to add controller support to my to-do list.

Thanks for your video :D

Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words, really happy you played the whole game through! :D

Wow, really appreciate the video! (and sorry if my game made you mad hahahaha)

Appreciate the constructive criticism at the end too - I'll be adding some new things to the game once the jam period is over, hopefully improving the currently repetitive combat.

Thank you for your epic comment x2!

Thanks for playing neb!

Thanks for playing! Yeah, sound was one of the last things I ended up doing and I realised that was a huge mistake as it contributes a lot to the game feel.

I realised that the respawn bug probably counts as a game-breaking bug under the rules, so I've uploaded a new build with a fix (or what I hope is a fix at least).

I REALLY APPRECIATE KIND AND FULLY CAPITALISED COMMENT

THANK YOU FOR PLAYING MY GAME

Ok, I think I found the problem but will have to fix it after the jam is over. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the constructive criticism - I'm planning to add some more polish to the game once the voting period is over so I'll definitely take your comments into account.

I was quite sure that the game restarted automatically once you died (basically just sends you back to the main hall). Where did you end up dying and what happened on the screen when you did? Were you just stuck forever?

Thanks for playing!

I have a feeling we've both played the same flash game haha. Thanks for checking the game out!

Thank you!

Thanks for playing!!

It's a shame about the door bug - but the aesthetic and atmosphere of this game is really calming and puts you at ease. Every character has a distinct and appealing personality and their interactions were nice and heartwarming. Great job everyone!

I really love how polished the retro aesthetic and feel of the game is - not to mention how clever the basic idea is. Small interactions like dashing or pushing your little guys forward are super satisfying, and executing the solution to the levels are challenging but rewarding!

To suggest something that could be improved - since dashing is tied to the arrow keys, when I was moving my character to finely adjust the position of objects I often found myself accidentally dashing and subsequently dying by falling in water or spikes, which was honestly a good laugh but I can imagine people getting pretty frustrated about it and potentially ragequitting the game. Perhaps having a dedicated button for dashing would lead to less input errors and feel more responsive?

Since difficulty seems to be a common complaint, I think making a change like that would help solve the issue without having to compromise on the actual puzzle difficulty, which is actually a big part of the appeal of the game for me.

Congrats on finishing the jam!

Really glad you enjoyed the game! There's actually a small grey bar that comes up on the bottom of the unit button after training and it gets smaller as the cooldown ticks by, but yeah, I realise now that it's way too small lol.

Thank you so much for the kind words! To be honest, we feel like we overscoped a little for a 7 day jam so we couldn't add as much polish and depth as we wanted - but we're glad to have made something people enjoyed. 😊

Thanks for playing!

Hey, thanks for playing our game and giving your honest feedback!

I'll definitely look into improving the responsiveness of the roots system. Allowing the player to click on the stones like you did seems like a really intuitive way to add some more player interaction with the game - so thanks for bringing that up! 😄

Hey thanks so much for the kind words and for playing our game! I'm glad you stuck with it and beat the game in the end :D
