Topic for sharing setups. Posts should include images and may include a description of what the setup is for, how it works, and how to construct. If the setup includes components that have source or target coordinates, it should be marked on the picture where those coordinates are for each such component. Posts may also include .world files. Posts without pictures and posts that aren't about setups will be deleted. The exception is if you are requesting a setup.

machine that produse 6 basic plants (don't work with yeast and pumpkins)

funels don't have inventory, and pl. pot have only 1 slot, so after it produses 3 plants, 1 goes in second funel, and other 2 go to out

  • The exception is if you are requesting a setup.

does anyone have any good setups for yeast/pumpkins?

What I've been doing is having one side for inputting the seeds/spores, and one side for outputting the caps/pumpkins

can you add image pls?

Sure! Here's an example I whipped up just for you. The mushrooms leave the harvester at the top left of it, are directed into a mixer, and then restocked by the output of the mixer.

Here's how it looks in my full setup, though it is harder to see and tell what's going on. The top and bottom conveyors are carrying spores back to the pots, the center conveyor is taking shrooms to the chest, and the chest feeding to two mixers that feed to another chest, and a floating hand carries spores back to each spore input.

but where is output?

Here's my current factory, made a composite of it. My main concern right now is that I'm starting to experience game slowdown again, though it crept up a lot more slowly than when I was using conveyor belts for transportation. I made it super dense to try to minimize the amount of items floating around. Any more tips for reducing game slowdown?

If you want to, you can send me the world file and I can check how much time the different objects in your setup take to process.

Thanks! I sent you a FR in Discord so I can DM it to you.

Here's a really good setup for all farmable items (excluding yeast/pumpkins) I've been using that reduces lag by a lot. It's repeatable as well (you can make it longer).

Basically what happens is the item automatically goes into an iron chest. It doesn't create an item in the world so it reduces lag by a lot. The only thing you need to make sure you do is place the filter funnels in the right order. If you place the funnel going from an iron chest to another iron chest before you place the funnels that go from an iron chest to a planter, it skips the planter. I'll definitely post more setups I've just been busy with school. Haven't really experimented that much with the new items but definitely will when I get the time.

Using chests instead of conveyor belts makes so much sense! Can't believe I didn't think of that.

Yeah I've been using a lot of hovering hands and iron chests instead of conveyor belts. Some of my earlier saves used mostly conveyor belts, and I had some performance issues. This was before the Bee Update but I'm assuming some of the issues would still be there.

I also have a design for pumpkins/yeast that y'all can use I just have to build it first.

not sure if this direction has the same problem but if you build this setup going from left to right, so the other way around than is shown here, the single planting pot doesn't get a refill since the plants get transferred to the other storage too quickly. At least that's a problem I've been troubled with

Here's my setup for Yeast/Pumpkin. It's pretty similar to my earlier setup.\

The only thing you might want to change for you design is the amount of mixers/crushers you place. If you have a large farm then I suggest to place down multiple.

Managed to automate nuclear power and plutonium. Now I'll have the ressources for automating carbon
I really don't know how you all handle inputs while avoiding belts... But I don't have performance issues yet, so I'll continue using belts

Well, after looking into it, belts suck fps hard .-. Deconstructed only the belts from my current world (106 in total) and the fps went from ~30 back to 60 despite many machineries still working. I still don't know how not to use belts though, so I guess I'll have to live with low framerate now >~< But then again, I can't get the framerate down with *just* belts and items on them... idk

Hey I dont know if this is a bug or not but when I go it set up a furnace it will always prioritize the chocolate no matter what. I have a simple one set up now one to make yeast patties and I have the yeast set to max speed with a single gate and I have chocolate with 2 gates on the lowest speed and every single time I come back to the furnace its just burning chocolate with the yeast just sitting out side the funnel. How can I fix this?

Could you post a screenshot of the setup?
