Hi. I just released a game yesterday and today I got a message from a player saying they got an error while downloading the game. Can you help me about it? Thanks.

"Our system has flagged this page for additional review due to potential suspicious behavior from the page owner.

If someone has asked you to download from this page and you don't fully trust them, or their behavior isn't what you recognize, then we don't recommend downloading this file until our team has reviewed the page.

Password-protecting files or pages is a technique often used by scammers in an attempt to block virus and other security scans from detecting malware. Do not trust password-protected files unless you fully trust the uploader."

Please read this pinned topic.

Thank you. I haven't encountered such an issue with my first published project so I was wondering the reason.

Hi! My game page is still quarantined. I sent an email to support on January 15th, but I still haven't received a response.

So, see the rules of this category for how to speed things up.

I've read everything about it. How many views do I need to get indexed? Could you kindly explain, or do I have to wait a whole year for it?

There is no number of views that guarantees you will be indexed, or removed from quarantine.

Are you really sure you read everything, really sure? Because if you really had read everything, as you claim, you should have read this part:

If you still need to make a topic about a Support Request, you must include your ticket ID with your message.

Then I must be misunderstanding what's written here:

"But it's been a week / a month / a long time!"
Games in the review queue are prioritized by several criteria. The most important is having genuine traffic to the game page coming from outside itch.io. In other words: the best way to get your game reviewed sooner is to share the link around so people come and see it! If you wait for your game to be indexed it's just going to take even longer.

Since I first created this topic to get help and then emailed support, I didn’t think I needed to post it again. Here is my ticket number: 251619. I wonder how much longer I’ll keep getting brushed-off responses instead of proper help.

Until you take the proper steps clearly outlined in the rules so our admins have something to work with. There, now I can let them know.

The problem is that this forum is answered by the community, not by the staff. The moderator is a volunteer moderator of the community, not an Itch employee (and neither am I).

The staff does not look at or answer these posts (sometimes the admin does), if you are asked for the support email number, it is because the moderator can send it to someone on staff to take a look at your case, but without that number, he cannot do much.

Asking you to follow the rules that are written is not for fun or to bother you, it is because there is no other way to speed up the help and if I told you that, it is because I saw you lost, but if what you are looking for is for someone to help you solve the problem you have, I regret to tell you that the only way is to write to support and sit and wait for them to respond. Because here, no one can index you or get you out of quarantine.

Did you try to spam your game into unrelated jams for promotion? https://itch.io/docs/creators/quality-guidelines#game-jams/do-not-add-your-game-to-unrelated-jams-for-promotion

I see quite a few reports on your page

When I first released the game, I couldn't quite decide which jams to enter, so I submitted it to multiple jams (I did the same with my first project, and there were no issues). However, I removed most of the entries within a few days. I don't think there are any issues with the current jams.
