This is super nice! I love the juiciness of the gameplay and the really smart mechanics. Very well made! I can tell that a lot of care went into making this.
Personally, I would have appreciated if the difficulty was a bit lighter. I'm not a big player of platform games, so I understand I'm maybe not the target audience. The game feels like it's tweaked for someone with a bit more... skill :P For me, an "easy" mode with some checkpoints would have been welcome.
I don't know if this is helpful, but here's a screen capture of me playing for a bit. I thought it might be useful (or funny) for you to see which parts I struggled with. ;)
Oh, and I love being able to choose a palette at the main menu. Brings me back to playing gameboy games on a gameboy color.
Thanks for the feedback! Loved your puzzle game!
Yeah I agree, there should definitely at least be checkpoints, I'm currently putting together a patch with controller support, so (maybe) I could upload a seperate build or make a seperate page with checkpoints. I dunno if it would change the game too much or count as QoL (might need to ask) but I 100% agree that the game should've been a bit more forgiving, and a bit easier on the difficulty curve. I also had some ideas to improve the leniency of the dash that I didn't have time to implement (thanks for the screencap, the dash *is* still annoying to deal with even with the current buffer, I felt your pain)
Was happy to see it worked for people who already play a lot of platformers but I can understand it's hard for those just getting into it.
Really solid, nice mix of mechanics to keep things feeling fresh as you make you way through the levels. Cute pixel art that a really dig. Nailed the theme, amazing job!
Thanks for playing and the comment! Glad you enjoyed the game!
Really great platformer. It provided a perfect blend of fun and frustration
Thanks! I had a lot of help from soddentoast with the levels, glad the difficulty curve worked out in the end
Really great platformer. Works really well the pacing and the levels unfold nicely. I want to try it with a controller
Thanks for the kind words! Never thought about controller support until your comment. I'll try to add it in an update soon
Fun little platformer, nice job keeping it one bit and juicy!
Thanks for playing and the comment! Glad you enjoyed the game!
