Wow! This is so creative and original! I really enjoyed how you combined music and math to create such a nice and enjoyable gameplay! Your game really stands out in this jam! Awesome job!
Thanks very much for the kind words :)
This is such a creative idea and I really can't say I've seen anything else like it. I've love to see the creator play through this one as I bet you'd play through super smoothly creating a haunting melody. I'm bad and it's all a bit choppy! Haha. But this is so great. Amazing job!
Thank you! I’ll record a play-through at some point, most likely after refining the gameplay with feedback and further play tests. Glad you liked it!
the idea is very cool, the idea is very original (since I can’t think of a game that has this mechanic) and can develop into something amazing like maybe a rythm game or add some moving walls (I don’t know if that’s in the game or not) either way (or none of these) it’s a very cool game with an amazing concept and mechanic!
Thanks for the appreciation of the idea and for the suggestions :)
This game is great! It utilizes the theme in a creative and original way. I like any game that incorporates music and rhythm in clever ways. One criticism I have is the game relies on trial-and-error a bit much, but the checkpoints are generous, so it isn't really an issue.
Thanks for the helpful feedback :) I appreciate the praise, good to have the strengths recognised. I’m considering a major change to the gameplay loop for the initial stage of the game (pre-metronome). I’ll make the update once the jam is over and then I’ll send it over in case you’re able to offer any further thoughts.
Nice concept, using sine waves to make a game is very cool. Glad you could participated! ;)
Thank you, I’m enjoying all of the appreciation for the concept :)
Clever idea. I love the ingenuity behind it. On the other hand, I think it's pointing out my lack of musical talent. lol. Great entry.
Thanks for that! Haha perhaps with further feedback and updates after the jam, everyone might feel musically talented while playing this game.
Really enjoyed playing! The chiptune-ish music is really nice and nostalgic too
Thanks! I’m generating the music in-engine so that may be adding to the nostalgia
Such a fun twist on a rhythm game, lovely execution!
Much appreciated!
I also got stucked when the keyboard got fully usable but im glad I kept trying as the next phases werent as hard for me. Understanding how to use the keyboard felt good, in the beggining I was just trying out random keys but at the end I knew that the right keys created more waves and the left one less waves then it was just a matter of adjusting the path with extra keys. Having the ability to play while dead is a nice quality of life, the wave animations are very smooth but the sound it does when pressing multiple keys its a bit harsh. Super original game good job!
It’s helpful to hear your thought process, I’m thinking of ways that I might update after the jam is over to make it clearer which notes are useful and which ones are just for extra challenge. Sounds like you learned it in the end but others may not be as persistent. Playing while dead was my attempt to address the frustration of dying as it’s difficult to systematically find a solution and I’m glad you discovered it! Thanks for the kind words :)
Really unique game idea, I love the style of it and I think it's a great submission! I will say that I wish there was a way to stop the dot from moving forward while you were playing the note so you could figure out the puzzle without dying repeatedly, but other than that I thought it was really fun! I got all 30 coins too haha.
Epic! I was wondering if anyone would attempt for all the coins :) Thanks for the valuable feedback, I considered ways to make it less frustrating during death and I may end up revising the automatic movement.
Got stuck when more notes were introduced, but it's really well executed. Really nice art and polish, and interesting gameplay!
Thanks heaps, I appreciate the play + your thoughts
this game is fire , i had so much fun thats a too good idea keep going maybe try making a full version also it was really hard
Thanks a bunch! I think there’s potential here and I may update later or iterate on the idea in a future game
