Soo good guys, nice work!!!

I also hit the crash the first time I used pushback on an enemy.  The Let's play is a great idea to get to experience the rest though.

The mood was awesome, the dialog was simple, but resolved, the music built well.  The level layouts did a good job of giving you sneak peeks of points of interest ahead.

If I can offer any critique, waiting for all the enemies to move in series was a little rough when there are a lot.  At first I thought it was lag.  Only alerting enemies within x spaces of the player (and then alerting any enemies within y spaces of that enemy to keep your groups together) is one possible workaround.

Thanks for playing!  I definitely agree about the enemy movement needing to be faster (and it had been slower near the beginning!).  My thought was to improve upon it by allowing all enemies to act simultaneously if possible so there isn't so much downtime between player actions and since the maps are fairly small.  However, if I end up having larger maps, localized alerts would definitely be a good approach to use to keep the action going while not running into performance issues.

Great job, Matt. Game was enjoyable and suspenseful. The music was very effective in the game format. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I got the crash too. It on the level where you use the push-back ability, trying to go to the right side. But it was a fun game. Nice job.

Thanks, and thanks for playing!

The game crashed on me about halfway through, so I watched the Let's Play to finish the story. First of all, AMAZING soundtrack! Seriously epic! It's a big thing that really sold the mood, which really payed off at the end. I also liked the turn-based puzzle aspect of the gameplay, though the transition confused me at first.

Sorry about the crash!  I'm glad you were able to watch the video to get the full story. :)  And I agree, Bobby did an amazing job on the soundtrack!

Just so I better understand, what transition are you referring to that confused you?

The transition from walking through the level and fighting enemies. I initially thought I was fighting them in real time. Had I noticed the switch immediately I wouldn't have been trying to fight Zelda style, which resulted in my first death.

If any of you are having trouble beating the game, make sure you use distance attacks as much as you can once you get them!  You can also swing your sword in place to take your turn while drawing the enemy to you.

Enemy Health: 10 hit points
Normal attacks: 5 damage
Line attack: 2 damage to all enemies in a line
Pushback attack: 2 damage to all enemies above, below, left, and right of the player
Blast attack: 10 damage in a triangle in front of the player

Also, if it's still too challenging or you don't have time to play, feel free to watch this Let's Play video so you can experience the entire story!
