Amazing work you guys. This is an incredibly polished submission! I was really impressed by the solution you have generated to the jams theme. The gameplay is solid, and everything is pretty well refined. The sensitivity of the jetpack could be reduced, maybe with the speed of the enemies - just to make it easier to be more precise with your shots.

Overall A+ work, seeing this compared to where you guys were almost a year ago is incredibly impressive. Both of you are two of the most promising developers I have had the pleasure of teaching!

Great work! It all feels very polished and I really like the restart. As it's been said, bottom row is a bit low, but all around awesome. The music speeding up really drives that sense of urgency at low life.

Very nice! The graphics are awesome! The gameplay is good, I didn't really have a big issue with the control scheme as some people seem to have. Only thing I had a bit of a problem with was with the enemies that fly really low, I felt it you'd have to hold LMB so short that I shot over them half of the time. Other than that, really awesome job!

Thank you for the feedback, we understand the lowest row is a bit too low for how fast most people can tap, we have made adjustments and will post a newer build of the game with necessary changes, as well as new features as soon as the game jam is over and when we find the time to.

Thank you very much and we hope you had fun playing our game! :D

nice! The visuals (to me) are like voxel/pixel/retro in a unique way! I only got 600 (Im not good at  many games) but it seems well polished :)

Thank you so very much for taking the time to play the game we created for the jam.

the art we were going for seems to have paid of for the most part, thank you for that.

did you find anything about the game to be lacking or missing in any context?

hi great! Everything seemed fine. If there was more time i would suggest varied music types to change tempo of games per level. Thanks

The aesthetic of the game is super interesting and fit well with the music. The gameplay was almost awesome, but the shoot on release thing kinda ruined it a bit. I never used the shield, so I think binding the shield button to shoot instead, would've been better. Anyway, great entry :)!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback we understand the issue people are having, with the controls can be a bit funny at first but we figure this method of firing and aiming would be the snappiest and prevent any longer plays being effectively bottle necking movement and combat by 2 user inputs and animations waiting before returning to ground. but we do assure you we do plan to tweak the controls in an upcoming update once judging has finished.

We hope you had fun! :D

The presentation is amazing, however the shooting system ruin the experience a bit.

Personally I would remove the shield and use a button to jump (or a jetpack style mechanic) and another to the shot.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, i understand the controls being confusing at first but we decided this method would be best as it free's up the right mouse for any other extra game play element, we do plan to update this game after judging is over to express the original intention of the secondary button.

The art style, aesthetics and plot have really really combined well together. Keep up the amazing work.
