Those wolves are terrifying! Nicely presented game and the animations are cool...

Great job!

Developer

thank you for playing brother👍

Couldn't finish it. The wolves take too many bullets and there are no quicksave spots. There are no stealth mechanics either, no walking, no avoiding the encounter. I am not stubborn enough. I liked the visuals. The wolves are gorgeous! The flags are nice too.

Developer

Thank you for playing, sry i could'nt add all of that stuff as i am already working on a big project for a game development studio so i could'nt give enough time for this project. You should fire some bullet on the wolves and run away from their sight and go again and fire some bullet and like so

Now that I know that the wolf wouldn't follow the sound of my footsteps if I am running away, I was able to get to the end:) It was quite an intense experience:)

glad you were able to finish it😁

this was a fun game to go through! going into this, i was scared that i was going to be lost (i have pretty bad short term memory), but the flags were such a welcome edition! i agree with some of the comments that shooting the wolves through walls trivialized some of the gameplay, but before i found that out peeking over corners was pretty tense (got jumpscared and killed a couple of times xd). i do agree that the wolves take a lot of bullets to kill, but i like how this makes the player have to route a proper path behind them so that they can shoot safely while backing off a certain distance. if the wolves were significantly easier to kill then it would have made the combat more of a quick time event, trivializing the game in a different way. a middle ground could maybe be met somewhere, maybe focusing more on stealth and having places to hide (as mentioned by a previous commenter) could work, and you can have the gun one shot wolves if you hit them in the head (as mentioned by another previous commenter xd) but you have limited ammo so it could be more of a last resort option. either way i think it depends on how you want to expand the game so these are only suggestions! also quick note: it would be great if the enemy colliders were disabled on death, because i had an issue where i killed two wolves in the same place, and then their bodies blocked the path to the next flag which led me to have to restart, so disabling them and allowing the player to walk through corpses would be nice haha.

the art looks really nice, like the vibes! the pixelization/low res aesthetic matched with the 3d environment gives the game that stylized look which i like a lot! i like how glowing red eyes of the wolves look under this aesthetic too, the game uses generally darker colors, which makes the red from the eyes pop out a lot, making easier to understand where to shoot, very nice! the sfx that are also in the game are pretty nice as well, giving good auditory feedback for whatever is happening in the game! adding ambient noises in the background i feel would do wonders for a game like this and make the player more anxious about turning corners!

overall, i had fun playing and am glad that i didn't get to lost while playing xd, good luck with your release!

Thank you for playing brother😊

I really like the art style, low res 3D is cool.

I wish there was an option to change mouse sensitivity. Minor note but in the intro you have written "quite" but I think you mean "quiet".

I really liked the art style approach, felt that the maze was rather easy to navigate though and the only problem I had to face was the monsters which happened to not be very difficult to deal with when I discovered I could shoot them through walls. Overall really liked how it looked and maybe if it was more of a escape focused game by making it possible to duck past the monsters or hide from them, that would have been great.

Thank you for playing, i wanted to add a stealth mechanic but i did'nt had the time

Well, the graphics and models were interesting. However, I think the gameplay need tweaking. In the instructions it says you have to keep silence, however, you can only run making sound, and you are given a pistol. So if you have a pistol, then shooting the wolves should be an affordable option, however, killing a wolf takes too much shots, and if the wolf gets near you, it is an instakill. Peeking the edge of the wall also makes wolves follow you if they see you just for a bit. In other words, you have to remember all the wolves patterns, and also avoid most of the time the use of the weapon. Since your steps always sound, there is no real way to know how far or near the wolves can hear you. Maybe add a walking option to walk slowly when near a wolf could improve gameplay. The pistol need a better usage. It could be that shooting a wolf in the head is an instant kill, but it also attracts other wolves (you could hear a howl when they notice you from afar) and you could use the maze alternate paths to hide from the wolves when they come to investigate the place of the shoot sound. Add a peeking option from the edge that allows you to see around the walls, with a small time of invisibility in case you have a wolf in front. I think those additions could make the gameplay more interesting.

Best of luck!

first of all thank you for playing, i did'nt had the time to add all of those because i only worked on this project for 8 days as i am already employed and work on a game development studio thats why i did'nt had the time

Hi, just finished your game, it was a relief exiting the maze as those big werewolves were quite scary. I saw you are willing to continue your game and publish it on steam, and you also used Unreal Engine (I started studying it recently) so I can help you fix an unintended feature/bug I found. When you point an enemy with the gun through a wall, it still detects it, so during the playthroughI just checked all the corners every time while walking, making it much easier for me to spot the enemies. I guess you are using a linecast, and it probably detects only the werewolves entities. Make sure it detects also the walls so the linecast is blocked by them, and then check if the hit object is in fact a werewolf.

Good luck with publishing it <333333

Thank you for playing brother, yeah i used line trace to determine enemies, but i could'nt find any way to stop those line trace when they hit walls so i made that bug a feature which made the game easy lol

Actually legit hahaaha, still a really cool game, nice job brother! <333

I like the animations and visuals in the game.
With the help of the cross hair as my enemy detector (because it goes red when there is an enemy in sight even behind wall) and the wallbang gun (which can shoot through walls) I was able to complete the game.
What could be improved:
- The gun: I feel like the gun could be removed. Because the only way you are using it is to shot the enemies through the wall or when they get stuck on the environment. If the enemies wouldn't get stuck the easily catch up to you and during that time the damage from the gun is way to little to finish them off.
Instead maybe focus more on the stealth part of the game?

This game is trusted.(Virustotal Result)

I think this game is good, and it is like the Maze Runner movie. It is a little bit difficult:)

The game UI is good, and I think directions are enough.
