What do you like about your game?
In my opinion I think I've made a game with a very unique theme adherence, since it's a game about the world getting infested by fish from another dimension you have to fish up.

To me fishing is always such a chill game mechanic and I felt the same way with Corrupted Depths so I believe you are right on track. I appreciate the fish variety and the relaxing vibe! Also the intro cutscene was fun.
I didn't really understand how the upgrades and the red thing on the bottom left (money?) work. With no upgrades, it felt like it was impossible to catch any fish. Then I went to the shop and could instantly buy every upgrade, which also gave me the red things. But otherwise, the visuals are very nice. I wish the gameplay was a little more interactive and less waiting. But I guess that's what the fishing experience is about š
If you gotta omit a tutorial, then Iād always make sure to include a text instruction manual in the pause menu.
I agree. An ingame tutorial would be beneficial. I gotta get to work and add that once the jam is over :)

i liked the game specially the intro scene. but the fishing gameplay was shallow and missing some sound effects. you should see starfarer and of course dredge fishing and how it relates to other things in the game if you want to make fishing more interesting. Just saying: nice day for fishing ain't it? š
You're right - it is a nice day for fishing. The weather is nice, and there's plenty of fish in the sea.
Originally I wanted the sound effects to sound like dredge, but after developing the game for a while, I completely forgot my initial inspiration, and just went with the flow. I haven't heard of Starfarer, but i'll check it out and try and draw some inspiration from it. I'll also check out your game :) Zelda Link's Awakening was my main inpsiration for my game, as I thought the fishing was cool in Link's Awakening.

Nice variety of fish and love the background art. The game got a little repetitive after the first few fish, so I would recommend each fish having unique mechanics or behaviours to show their abnormality.
That's some great feedback. I'll take a crack at redoing some of the systems when the jam is over.

Unfortunately, a very gamebreaking bug has been found so please be careful..
The game crashes when spam clicking to cast the lure. (so please be careful when you pull in a fish)
