Nice game! The text animation is confusing, The letters appear and move simultaniously quite fast and text is blurring. I agree with others that there's not much tention. Also agree that one button for the clipboard would be better. The in-level text requires you to click not just somewhere on screen, but specifically on the text. It's different from in-between-levels dialogue and not quite clear. A button instead of (click to continue) would be better in my opinion. Some objects also seemed to be out of the camera range. I got stuck at the last level. And got annoyed by the constant dialogue box that was not going away. I couldn't figure out how to get out. I think it's a solid idea. I enjoyed playing up till the very end.

Hello Stripy!

Thank you very much for your feedback! There are lots of good ideas that I will definitely implement. Exactly these comments help me to improve the game. Thank you!

A skip mechanic and the text animations are already improved in my patch and are just waiting for the release. Some levels I definitely have to improve again so I am currently concepting a full version of this app with different mechanics and better puzzles.

Have a nice weekend!

Really nice game and nice execution

When I tried losing, it ended up bugging in loop sadly

Developer

Hi Progz,

yes unfortunately this is a bug in the tutorial level which I only noticed after submitting. I'm basically just waiting for the judges to finish their ratings so I can upload my patch.

Many thanks for your feedback!

Hi, I just finished trying out your game. The visuals and the overall atmosphere are really well done, and the entire game feels really polished. Also, when I saw the milk on the shelve I was like, bro, we did the same game :3. Apart from that, all the assets looks very cool, and the only thing I can suggest is to put a skip button to the text, but I saw that another comment already pointed it out, so you already know.

Really nice submission, good luck if you will develop it further in the future! <3333

Haha awesome we are now officially milk brothers.

Thanks for your feedback Lapo!

okay once I realized the resolution was weird and I had to scroll up a bit, I got the game working just fine. Since you are considering putting more time into this I'll try to have helpful opinions.

I think the gameplay is strong, polished and follows the itch horror formula well. I have nominal interest in the plot, although it is formulaic (which is not necessarily a bad thing but the end is visible from pretty far out). I am also not sold by the horror elements. I cannot explain why (because its more of a feeling) but I suspect it's because they are pretty inoffensive environmental changes and theres no feeling of danger, fear, urgency or unease. And when they do affect game elements (milk to meat in the dark) it ends up being somewhat confusing and annoying for progression.

some nitpicks include:  [W]/[S] to toggle on/off is a bit strange. Could just be [W] to toggle both states. Various typos throughout including the spelling of "Willson". The telegraphing for Level 6 [the meat level] is somewhat unclear and you kind of stumble into the solution by chance.

I recognize I don't actually give helpful tips here to change anything and just voice largely my own opinions (so feel free to ignore it all).

It's a good release and I did enjoy playing it.  Strong mechanic.

Hi Propel S

Thank you for your feedback. This is exactly the kind of feedback I am currently looking for.

You've listed some great points that I need to think about. I am currently writing a game concept for a full version where I will also include your points! You have helped me a lot.

Thank you!

This is pretty dang good to be your first jam. I really admire the polish in this game. I was a bit timid because it feels like a horror game, but it was very good to play in. This game (with more story) would be a popular horror game because of its unique setting and clever mechanics. 11/10

Thank you for playing. Your comment made my day!
I'm thinking about developing the game further if the feedback remains positive :)

I wish i can skip dialogue but it was fun little game. I liked graphics, music and gameplay. I would say i really like idea, i think it has a lot of potential. Be proud of yourself.

Developer

Thank you the great words, it means a lot to me.
I will add a skip button as soon as the jam is over.

I enjoyed it; it was pretty fun, actually. However, I feel it had too much dialogue sometimes, and it got a little bit annoying that you couldn't skip it, especially since most of the dialogue reiterates something that was already said.

I don't feel it follows the theme of the jam, though.

4 stars!

Developer

Thanks for your comment and for playing!

I will add a button to skip dialogs in the future. Also, level 5 unfortunately had a bug that caused the same dialogs to play over and over in certain situations, which I was able to fix in the patch.

I like the visuals and the suspense. When I couldn't find the meat on the 2nd day I had a small panic attack. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the third day and I tried 3 times. I even counted the rats and myself as meat.

Thanks for your feedback!

I'll probably make level 3 a little easier. I may need to build a helper system to assist in moments like this.

Since the current build is locked, I'll put a link to a walkthrough in the game description so that anyone who gets stuck can at least enjoy the ending.
