Awesome puzzle game! I definitely felt a giant leap in polish playing the updated version!

I think the puzzle mechanics in this are awesome, but I couldn't fully understand them. Overall the game seems really well polished, and I really like the vibe it gives. The audio is very relaxing and the visuals are really nice.

(This comment is based on the jam version)

Rated! I think you did a great job on this!

Meat is meat!

I really enjoyed this, I liked the story and thought the gameplay worked really well!

Audio and visuals were great!

Great job on this one!

Cool game! I left a little bit of feedback :)

Also just realized it was your name on the wall at the start and end

I really liked this! The story was interesting and I liked the art style.

The text itself needs a bit of revision, lots of typos/grammar issues.

I also think it would be nice to be able to tell who is talking.

Other than that I think it is a great game!

I really liked the ending!

I checked it out and left some feedback on the game :)

The visuals were top notch, I really liked the art style! The minigame is very confusing without any sort of guidance, even though I think no guidance fits this art style a lot better. It can be hard to get the ball rolling again when it stops.

Overall I think it is a really cool game with a great atmosphere, just that the minigame could use a little more refinement. I think making some sort of way to get the ball moving again easier would be better than adding controls on the screen since it fits the art/atmosphere better to not have controls on the screen.

I really liked this game! I got a little sad because during step 5, the game just sat still and wouldn't advance my turn :/

I'm glad the game saves progress because reloading let me continue :)

I really liked the concept and found the game to be really fun!

I really enjoyed this, however I think the scaling needs a lot of work. It feels like it takes forever to be able to upgrade the actual mower for the first time, and once you do you can max level it in the time it took to to unlock the first level up.

The grass growth and auto mower didn't really feel needed at all, and after maxing the mower I maxed the grass growth, which started to make the game lag.

I think one of the main balancing things would be to lower the original price of the first level up, and to make that price increase each time you do.

You could even make the level up changes a little more gradual so that there could be more total levels.

I also wish there was some music or mowing sounds.

Overall great game!

I find the premise very interesting! I agree with others saying it needs some sort of map/way to track progress. I did find it to be very interesting with a lot of potential!

A setting for the camera controls would've been nice, and I would've liked a way to make the dialogue move faster. Overall I think it has a lot of potential. I really love the art direction that was taken.

I wasn't expecting a visual novel, this is very interesting and I really like the art! I think some slight ambient sounds would help a lot. I noticed sound sliders in the settings but I didn't hear anything, so I'm unsure if that is on my end or if they hadn't got added yet

Here's my game :)

My main issue is that it always seems like I have html5 specific bugs that hinder the game. Otherwise I planned to for the past 2 jams I've done.

Mine does in two ways. The first is that your character changes randomly over time. The other is that the enemies (and one of the characters) could also be considered abberations.

I'm going to bed so it will be tomorrow before I can rate yours, here is mine :)

If there aren't too many I'd love if you check mine out :)

More fun than I expected. The first time I played I accidently exited fullscreen and my mouse hovered over the game and wouldn't press buttons. I also got stuck in the trash compacter once but a crouched my way out. I think it is a very interesting idea! I did start to get a little bored around day 4 so I kept putting a broken toilet into the packer, I got over -3500 before I ran out of time the next day.

I love this so much, a chess roguelike is such an awesome idea!

I never thought I would slam dunk a rat so now I can check that off the bucket list

Let me know if you encounter any bugs! I also am open to any advice/criticisms so please feel free to say your thoughts!

Since there is the open source requirement I highly recommend learning git/github, it could help prevent this from happening again.

I really liked the puzzles. I got 3/4, stopped at the platforms. I really disliked that when you landed on them they moved without you, it was disorienting. Great game though I enjoyed it :)

I feel like wasd controls would've worked a bit better since you use the mouse to aim and the spacebar to fire.

The score also seemed to keep going up when I lost.

I really liked the combo and the way it showed up on screen.

The blaster also seemed way too overpowered, but I also had a lot of fun using it.

Overall I had a lot of fun with it, just really disliked the control scheme.

I really liked the controls, I found the blocks without collisions to be a little annoying, it would be cool if there was a very subtle difference in their sprites to know you would fall through them, but subtle enough that you would still do it.

I think it has good enough movement to need a speedrun timer for levels. It feels like it falls into that category.

In the tutorial the spikes are really hard to see against the background. In another level I fell into a spike pit and didn't get hurt, but wasn't sure if it was intentional.

Overall I think it is a really fun game with a lot of potential :)

This is really cool. I like to think that sometimes when I report a resident for their light being out, that they were a normal person whose light just happened to be out and that I have just gotten them evicted for no reason :)

(1 edit)

This is very creative and a whole lot of fun, I find the ghosts a little annoying but I really love the gameplay. One of the tops games of this jam imo.

I'd love to see this game get updates with more levels :)

I really like the game. I find the gameplay unique and challenging. Overall a great game :)

Side note: if you lose, go back to the menu, then hit start game, it increases your score/high score.

When I did this a few times the tower level just started infinitely climbing into the thousands/ten thousands.

I played the game again and noticed if you hit the X and hit start again, the level increases. This also eventually causes the level going up infinitely. It seems to be going to level 8 that is causing the level going up infinitely.

I 100% feel you with the web game, I had to scrap my web version last minute because one button just stopped working in my web version for seemingly no reason. I definitely understand the spaghetti code too, it seems the closer you get to the deadline the more screwed up the code gets

Looks like a good start, based on the gameplay I feel like being able to rotate the camera around the player would do good. A red glow or something when hurting players or enemies would be good too. You should continue to update it after the jam is over, it would be cool to see what you turn it into!

I like the art style and thought it was a fun game. My only real dislike was that for the wasd controls that the jump button was L instead of the space bar, I kept hitting space instead lol

Oh and I also really liked that it had a speedrun timer, that was a nice addition, I got number 5 as of typing this comment :)

I enjoyed this, could use a little more polish though.

One big thing I wish it had was a setting for mouse sensitivity, I felt like I was looking very slowly.

The only door I didn't really like was the earth one just because it felt like it took so long to get to it.

Overall I think it's a cool concept and it was exciting wanting to see what was behind the next door.

I did find a couple bugs:

One was that when you press p to view the leaderboard, it scrolled so slowly that I couldn't ever get to the next person.

The other was that after finishing the game, the wheel still said 9/10 instead of 10/10.
