This was an incredible fun idea! I love changing the well-known movies outcomes so much. It could do with some better translations here and there but mainly I REALLY want to change the other movies as well!

Hope we'll see more of this after the jam?!

What a wonderfully weird game! I love the idea and how you realized it.  The art made me smile, the music was great and the stories had me grinning broadly.

I sincerely hope you will add some interactions to the other channels post jam.

Silly and charming. Fun to see the popochius make another appearance.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! It is good to know someone else remember the popochius.

A great idea in channel hopping, looking forward to seeing the other channels when they are done. It had me thinking what if what you did on one channel had an effect on the story on another, you would have to bounce around to find the right channel to advance the overall story, maybe that's two ideas. anyway nice game, well done.

Thanks for your comment! Now, thanks to you, we have an idea for a second part of the game.

The stylized art is strong, the old TV experience is really amazing and super fun to play, awesome:)

In trying to figure out what type of game you wanted to make, you made a game. Amazing. Loved the gameplay, had a deep story, and it was fun. 10/10 would murder popochius again!

Thank you so much for your kind words.

I drove Popochiu Park into the ground and I totally thought Simba could beat Scar, I'm not very good at this game.

For real though I had to play every option, it was just too funny! In this age of streaming and onward, there's probably a lot of younger people who will never get to experience the absurdity of channel surfing. I'm glad I got to experience it one more time with such great art and humor. I almost spit my drink out at the rendition of Hakuna Matata (how do you spell that?). Definitely one that has to be played!

Developer

If you played every option, then you’re actually really good at it. Thank you for doing so!

We should probably use your sentence about younger people in the splash screen of the game.

We’re extremely glad that the game made you laugh and that you had a good time playing it.

I really need to rewatch "The Lion King". I can't remember the coconut for the life of me ...

The presentation of your spoofs is great. I especially love that you used a TV that didn't come with a remote. The ancient model really adds to the mood. This is as silly as it is funny. I got a good laugh out of it. Maybe even two. :)

Developer

What a great way to start a comment!

We’re glad that you enjoyed the game and that the TV contributed to the game’s vibe. At one point during development, we considered using a remote control, but we changed our minds because we wanted everything to feel more ’90s.

This is HILARIOUS! Truly, that Titanic spoof scene has made my life. Awesome job for making a unique, stylistic game!

Developer

Thank you so much!!!

You don’t know how happy it makes us feel what you said.

I was very confused at first, then I left the game crying from laughter. It's a crazy game, absolutely not what I was expecting. Good job!

Developer

Thanks! We’re glad it made you laugh.

Super funny!  The wierd and wonderful set up for controlling the game worked great, the first tv I had as a kid was like that and got the game vibe switching channels :D Love it!

Developer

Thanks! It’s great that you mention the controls because that feeling of using knobs and controlling the game in an unconventional way for the genre is one of the key elements of the game.

We’re glad to know that it somehow made you remember something from your childhood.

Hilarious, top marks for emotional engagement haha

Developer

Thank you so much. That adjective is all we need to know that we achieved our goal with the game.

Haha these reinterpretations of the lion king are hilarious. I was glad when the pride lands enacted democracy. There was also something really funny about Rose floating on that door every time the channel changed by that one.

Developer

Due to lack of time, we couldn’t add more scenes from Titanic, Terminator 2, and Matrix, but it’s good to know that you found it funny that one of them repeated over and over again. We’ll keep that in mind for the post-jam version.

If the game made you laugh, then our effort was worth it.

This is hysterical! The art and voice acting work perfectly with the overall vibe. And I'm pretty sure one of my friends had that exact model of television back in the day. (Loved the horizontal line sweep!)

Developer

Thanks! It is good to know you enjoyed our game. We hope it made you laugh a little.

The drawings combined with the audio make the humour hit home for me. And the TV manual was delightful :-)

Developer

Thanks for you comment. We’re happy to know you found it humorous.
