It's a cool, simple concept. I wonder, is there a reason to use projectiles over hitscan? I'm quite sure hitscan would turn on the rhythm game mindset much faster, because it takes a minute or two when hits are delayed.

Hey. I played your game as part of a Demo Day stream. If you didn't catch the stream live, here's a link to the video:

You can see my other demo day 46 streams as well on my channel.

Looks like you're getting close to releasing this game! Congrats! I'm not very good at it, and I can't really think of anything to say.

I played for about half an hour and got 6000 points. It took me some time to realize that I should match my colour to that of those big circles so as not to get damaged by them. Also I thought that the game would keep getting harder, but after they appeared, it seems like the difficulty had peaked, but it wasn't hard enough to kill me. So, potentially, I could play forever, cause very time I was about to die, I got inexplicably healed for some reason, and I had to deliberately stop shooting to get myself killed, cause the game was getting boring by that moment.

It looks and sounds neat, but the graphics are too minimalist for my liking.

A nice little arcade game. The minimal graphics work well although they are of course not much to look at. The juice and really good sound design help that immensely though.

I also found the shooting with both mouse buttons a bit awkward and resorted to using left mouse button and X.  Also just spamming both buttons got me out of sticky situations a bit too often.

Neat idea, and I like the minimalist art. This might just be me, but using two different mouse buttons to shoot felt kinda awkward (kinda like using two different feet to drive). Maybe give the player a different way to switch colors, like the scroll wheel or the spacebar, and the option of only using one mouse button to shoot.

Developer

You can use Z/X to shoot as well.

Very nice, and I like the look and feel.

The combo enemies were nice, took advantage of the idea well.

Probably just me, but I did find I spent to long aiming (mouse) and would die off quickly.

The minimalist aesthetic works really well. After playing for a few minutes and dying a few times, I don't really see anything to strive or continue playing for; maybe that's the lack of upgrades and such in the demo. Have you tried incorporating movement in any way?

Developer

I did think about movement early on, but dropped the idea when I decided to make the game for phones. Keeping controls simple seemed like the best idea.

kinda addictive, and i appreciate the simple design.

other then the bell sounds when you kill the enemies, i liked everything you added since last submission. difficulty curve is a bit strange, sometimes it seems like it spikes really fast, other times it seems fine. the circle that you need to match color is also very punishing if it spawns when the level is crowded you just have to take the hit. catching more health seems to be the meta as eventually things gets near impossible to manage and getting hit is unnavoidable

Neat concept. Reminds me of Ikaruga or the end of Drag-on Dragoon.
