This is giving me some major Flash game vibes, for better or worse.

The core mechanic is neat and I like what you do with it with the level design and all and look forward to what else you have in store. I think it would be neat if you could speed up the platforms by holding RMB and slowing them down again by releasing it so you get more control over that.

Other than that things feel about as amateurish and unpolished as I'd expect from one of those old Flash games, or indeed an early demo.  Movement is my main gripe, everything feels sluggish. This could be a lot more engaging with more satisfying movement.

There's a ton of potential here though.

Pretty fun, anon!

Really fun mechanic

Finished the game. Was pleasantly surprised, it's a well realized puzzle game. The mechanics are intuitive after the tutorial and the puzzles ramped up at a good pace. The gun return animation looks nice and serves as a reload time which is neat. The purchase system felt a bit weird to have, but I suppose it works as a way to control the safety net against combat if a player needs it. At first I was confused why the eye ropes could stop the player, though I realized it's intended in a spot or two to act as a barrier. Though that may be a little too weird to keep, since it can move some people may throw their head at it.

Accidently went to menu when trying to close the vending machine, my fault but I'm used to ESC closing things. One time I rode a bullet diagonally into the corner of the ceiling and got my head stuck in there, shooting down a bit I managed to get out. The only other negative thing is the visuals, they work well but I imagine it's a little too programmer art for the average puzzle game audience. Though I imagine you are well aware.

Good job, looking forward to the game next time.

This is definitely the biggest surprise I've gotten all DD, didn't expect to like it as much as I did, and you implemented your mechanics really well. Here are some issues I encountered though.

At one point two zombies became immobilized since they were colliding against each other and moving in opposite directions, meaning neither could move anywhere.

I paused to write my notes, and the game restarted, very sad. Would instinctively press escape to get out of the shop menu just to return to the start of the game by accident. Very very sad, but i played through it again even when i was far in because i found the game fun.

I like when the bullets return to you, looks nice.

At first i thought i couldn't hurt the enemies because i'd hit them with the unaccelerated bullets and nothing happened. Took me a while to realize you could kill anything.

The dangling bits left behind by the eyes are annoying. They should only stop you while the eyes are alive. After you kill the eye, the dangle should move around when you pass it, but you should be able to easily walk through it. Like a one sided collision. I stopped playing because i couldn't pass the left eye dangle in the room where there's two of them with coins in the middle.

Was near a door while its power cut off, causing the door to stay open permanently.

Hey Branno, I tried playing your Linux build. It froze multiple times for me, sometimes even on the first screen. I am sorry I cannot be of more help, but I have no idea what was causing it.

It looks like mododev managed to get it to work more than I did, because the farthest I got was the first jump. Sorry

It's an interesting concept, and I can see it going places, but it's too buggy right now to play.

While I feel that the player movement is too slow, all jumping feels fine. Player does seems large for this type of game.
Don't force me back to the start when I press ESC, and consider adding some form of save system early in development.
Could pick up the keycard twice, by going back through the first door.

Game crashed after I moved through a door too many times. I don't know the exact cause, but it might be due to moving through a door when bullets are being destroyed (some crash due to yield perhaps). I could reliably get the game to crash by moving in and out of the same door a couple times while shooting.
When the game crashed a third time, this time while going through the second door without trying to break anything, I gave up.

Edit:
Played it a little bit further after that, trying to record the crash happening, but didn't encounter it anymore. The game did crash when pressing ESC at the end though.

Are you playing on Linux or Windows?

EDIT: I think i've replicated the crash on windows. I'll see if I can isolate the reason and upload a fixed build later on.
EDIT2: Yeah it's going to take a while to fix this problem, it's not an easy solution.
