Using two characters to solve puzzles is a fairly novel idea.
Animations look weird, but they are at least functional.
Had to stop after glitching into a wall after teleporting.
Movement looked jittery. Not sure if the smooth camera you can toggle by pressing C can fix that as I only learnt about it after getting stuck in a wall.
My Tubel was sufficiently Norted. I like the trippy backgrounds and character animations, and the concept is pretty cool for a puzzle game (reminds me of Abe's Oddysee). I felt like most of the levels were just walking to the end and i didn't feel very accomplished for figuring any of them out. I dont think anyone is going to read the how to play page when it is longner than the Unabomber Manifesto. It feels pretty unique though which is definitely a good thing.
I don't get why having the signs and the text prompts, seems like a dumb idea to have both. I don't think I can really say anything here outside it needs a lot of refinement. Since I didn't realize the duel team mechanic until I got to the end of the first level.
At first, the tutorial levels had various books to read and each one had an image.
People thought this was too much, so I ended up having some images that should be simple enough to indicate something and then the books are used for text that should give a bit more detail about stuff like controls.
I also have an instructions thing in the pause menu.
Like I usually say, it's my first game and one I got too ambitious at but I managed to add enough that I think the game has a chance to be finished.
Played it and got stuck on the 5th level. There are some genuine ideas for a platformer, but are often presented in an unbaked form. Look up several game design videos for platformers to get the gist of it. Graphics are wild (surreal some might say) and I didnt read up the lore, sorry :(. Keep up the good work!
By 5th level, you mean the one where the 2 characters are seperate and there's a conveyor belt?
If you fell off the belt, there's still an area with a teleporter where you can return to the belt, but you can still control the companion to activate a blue platform that leads to an area with 2 keys.
The game is pretty much my first, where I used it to learn stuff and also an excuse to show off characters and settings I thought of for a while.

I tried streamlinig tutorial levels so there's only few books with text and the rest is images you just get an idea from and all.
Unless you mean the instructions in the pause menu.
yeah the images were great, I was talking about the pause menu
