ML agents are curious. Have some jitter to them, but they manage the ship better than me overall )

Nice idea. With some polish & attention to game feel - could be quite an addictive game. )

controls are confusing at first, but smart AI and cool game!

Nice use of ML agents, impressive that they learned to control the ships so well.

Cool game! Those ML agents get greedy and will steal your resources lol. Nice job!

If I had a recommendation for you, I would say to allow rotation to go further on it's axis. In a space game like this it feels weird to hit a hard axis lock when trying to reach things. Otherwise the controls are pretty interesting, it's not common I see a game that exclusively uses keyboard controls. Another issue I had was that using multiple rotation controls at once (like up and left for example), it wouldn't actually do it. It would just choose one of the directions, or do neither.

I also had a hard time with the controls so I just hit M, kicked my feet up, sipped my coffee, relaxed, checked my email... made sure everything was right with the world, did some chores, came back and hit M to take over from there.

Fun game and cool idea! Controls are a bit hard though and stopped me from really getting into it. Maybe use the mouse to aim and shoot and WASD for thrust?

Also, some sound would really help bring it to life! (even though, yes, there is no sound in space :P)

Fun game!

I would have really liked to be able to use multiple arrow keys at once (e.g. up and right together, rather than having to do them one after the other), and I definitely hit R on accident on more than one occasion, but once I got a handle on the controls and the objective it was fun to fly around and compete against the AIs.

A quick question: when I switch control over to the AI with M, is that AI based on my movements so far as a player, or is it a standard AI that all (?) the ships were trained to use before the game started?

Developer

It would just replace you with pretrained AI model
