Good job on finishing your first jam! Got to wave 11, can only see things on the screen for a single frame before they disappear, but that was fun.
It is a very cool first game, Keep the hard work, nice job :D
Fun game, congrats! Maybe you can do that the Rats drop DNA, so the player is forced to move more to collect it.
Cool game! Turning the individual projectiles into a laser was pretty fun. Great job on your first game jam!
It's a fun little prototype! I hope you go on to make more games in the future. Spawning almost infinite bullets at the end was quite funny.
for a first jam this is good! one thing I will point out: by continuously upgrading cooldown I managed to get the cooldown to -0.9000000000000002, and this basically fires instantly and 10 times a second (can't tell if this was a glitch or a joke). but still good!
Great submission for your first game jam! I was able to set my cool down to 0.3500000000000003 lol... not sure if that was intended. I would love some sounds, and maybe a little more contrast between the background and the characters on screen so you can easily pick them out from the background. Solid entry!
Congrats on getting through your first game jam! I love games where you have to survive waves of enemies so this was still fun even though it was very simple. I noticed the game starts to lag a lot as more and more enemies spawn. Maybe look into the concept of object pooling -- definitely helps with efficiency when you have many enemies or items spawning in the scene.
This was a very fun game with an addicting loop! The AI of the enemies was cool, but the cats were even cooler! Figuring out what those little buggers were up to was quite interesting. However, I will say that I was quite confused by the "upgrades". Copy and fuse were quite self explanatory but what did splice and the 4th option do?
That being said, it was still a very enjoyable experience!
Thank you for the response but you might have the wrong game! I know I have bullet speed and cooldown as upgrades but I don't have splice or copy or anything like that
