This was a very fun game with an addicting loop! The AI of the enemies was cool, but the cats were even cooler! Figuring out what those little buggers were up to was quite interesting. However, I will say that I was quite confused by the "upgrades". Copy and fuse were quite self explanatory but what did splice and the 4th option do?
That being said, it was still a very enjoyable experience!

Thank you saur much! :D

Halfway through the week I playtested it and realized: "Hm... this isn't very fun to play" so I had to do something about it! I'm glad my efforts payed off!

I agree :D

Thank you so much for the kind words!

Wow, you're making us blush with yout kind words! Thank you so much for playing the game!

Very unfortunate that this didn't work. I would have loved to see how this game actually played!

Thank you so much for giving the game a go and taking the time to leave some feedback! It is unfortunate that you weren't able to figure out how the game works, and thats a fault on our side. It seems to be a recurring theme with our game that a lot of the people who play it can't seem to figure it out. Again, thats on us for failing to implement a tutorial in time!

We are working on a more polished version with a tutorial and bug fixes which will release after voting ends!

This was a really creative and neat submission. I must admit tho I was repeatedly getting stuck and confused, that might have been my monke brain. None the less, it would be nice with some sort of a tutorial xD

Good job tho!

A simple and fun sidescroller runner with some fun visuals! Over all it was fun!

For some feedback, I think you could do some work on the hitboxes of the player and the obstacles. Sometimes I would die without colliding and other times I would collide and not die.

Also it could be neat to make the second character playable as well!

It is very unfortunate that you didn't have time to do what you originally intended. Because what is already here seems super promising, especially when reading about your original idea! I would love to see it come to life one day!

Alright so I played this solo, idk if its intended for solo or 2 play.

This was hard, but in a nice, mind bending and challenging way. Simplistic yet pretty art! Where this game REALLY shines tho is in the actual mechanics which work really well! I never felt that I died unfairly, it was always a mistake on my end, and this is key when creating a game like this! It makes the player want to come back and get better, rather than rage quit because they feel its un fair.

Good work!

Homie really said "lets put all the classic nokia games in one game" and I'm all here for it! Visually its simplistic but theres quite a lot here! Maybe a little too much? Idk

What an experience! A horror game was one of the last games I thought I'd be playing when going through these Jam entries, yet here we are. Now let me start by saying this, I'm not a big horror game fan. This is because I easily get scared and have a hard time to pull through, but I did my best while playing this game!

From the start the atmosphere was extremely eerie and I was creeped out before realizing I was being chased by those spider bots. So let me tell you, when I heard the first one run down on me and jump scare me... I may have woken up the entire house lmfaoooo.

The movement and everything feels good, but I wish there was a way to sprint or somehow get away from the spider bots. Cause as far as I noticed, once they were on my ass that was it.

The actual concept of the game is super dope as well! We've seen quite a few submissions in this Jam where one must plug a plug into a socket, but most of them are 2D platformers or puzzle games, so this was a VERY welcome twist (despite decreasing my life expectency by at least 10 years)!

Good job!

Wow! Lets start with the visuals! The visuals are phenomenal holy skadoodle! The characters and especially the water is soooo nice! I actually wanna hop in and take a swim T-T

Now, as for the gameplay. The game is really short so there wasn't a lot of time to "experience it" but the concept of picking up "power cores" to turn various stuff on and off is dope and has a lot of potential for cool puzzles! That being said though. I don't know if this was a problem only on my end or if others experienced this as well, but when he held the power core the characters movements got REALLY wonky and it was hard to navigate, especially through the tight gap.

All in all tho, really neat game! I would love to see this further developed!

I am thoroughly impressed by these mechanics and how you made 4 different characters! Once I got into it I really enjoyed it!

Some feedback tho, it was a little confusing at first to find the controls. So that could easily be cleared up!

Also it was slightly laggy, but that might just be the WebGL hosting fudging up

Thank you so so much for taking the time to play the game and give us this amazing feedback! As I've mentioned to others, we're working on a polished version to release after the voting ends based on stuff we didn't have time to implement and feedback, so it really means a lot! The whole issue with movement speed and the void hitboxes will most definitely be adressed, as well as a tutorial so newcomers can get a better grasp of the mechanics at play!

Thank you so much for checking out our game!

What a unique and fun game! Honestly everything about this game is very well rounded, the gameplay, the visuals and the audio all feel very solid! The gameplay in itself is very unique and neat, I liked it a lot!

One problem I had tho was scrolling down the note pad, it was very har to do so as I couldn't drah the scroll bar and actually scrolling made me scroll down the website as well!

Other than that, GOOD WORK!

The idea is really cool and has a lot of potential. I did find myself getting stuck and confused a lot tho... might just be my monke brain

I had a fun time playing this and I appreciate that there are multiple ways to go about winning! Also the portals were veeery nice to get some distance from the rat.

To build upon this I'd say add different type of slimes to combine that grant you various abilities like maybe you can deal poison damage when colliding with the rat or something like that!

Yeah that would be dope asf! Being able to play portal wherever.

Thank you so much for playing the game and taking the time to leave your thoughts! We'll be releasing a more well polished version after voting period ends as well!

And yes, I recently replayed Portal 1 and 2 before this Jam started and wanted to pay homage to these classics!

Yeah, this game is most definitely rough around the edges xD We're gonna be releasing a polished version after the voting period ends tho, so all feedback is worth gold! Thanks for playing and letting us know what you thought!

Thank you so much for playing and the feedback! We have realized that most of our time went to actually creating these mechanics, but we never got around to creating a tutorial or explanation in any way shape or form which has been quite detrimental, you're not the only person who's gotten stuck xD

We're working on a more polished version of the game to release once the voting is over to add a tutorial and do some bug fixing!

Alright, fair enough! That makes a lot of sense actually!

This was a cool "Sniper Elite" type game! With some fleshing out this could be something special! My only complaint really is the crosshair, I found myself losing it a lot as its very thin and very light color. I get it that you wanted to match it with the artstyle as best as possible, but it may be something to think about.

This was definitely a unique one! It reminded me a bit of the game Parasite on Nitrome! I think if the different monsters that you can control also served as a way to solve various puzzles, this game could be amazing!

Very interesting game about the brain! I got a bit confused tho, is it possible to remove connections or does one have to continously make new ones?

So the first time I saw this game was when you posted a progress update in discord, and already then I was intrigued! Now finally playing the game, it is a lot of fun and very satisfying. Its also quite different from other games in the jam! With more levels, and mechanics/obstacles to switch up the gameplay later, this game is something I'd expect to see on Nitrome, or even on steam!

As you yourself stated the game is buggy, and that was no understatement xD I found myslef anchored at one of the pillars by an invisible rope lmaooo. That being said tho I had so much fun! The concept of the game is really neat and could be fleshed out into a real gem I think! Also the art was really nice!

Thank you so much for the feedback and thank you so much for playing the game! We are already aware of most of the issues you mentioned and are actually working on a more polished version of the game to release once the game jam voting ends. It will include a lot of bug fixing as well as a tutorial level, as we've realized a lot of the games mechanics aren't directly apparent to newcomers.

First off, I really enjoyed the camera. I felt like I was playing on an old box tv or an arcade machine!

Now to the actual gameplay, the back and forth between the 2 robots and how they depended on eachother, not just their abilities but also their battery, was super dope! The combat was also well made and snappy, with good sfx and quick responsive controls. It was also cool how both characters abilities could be utilized in combo while in combat to deal extra damage!

This was a unique one to say the least xD It is a shame that you didn't have time to finish it up because I really did like some aspects like the picking up, throwing and suspending blocks. That was a neat mechanic with a lot of potential for platforming puzzles! The art was also very fun, reminded me of something along the lines of Little Big Planet!

I must say though, the platforming itself felt a bit "heavy", if that makes sense. It wasn't super satisfying and the character didn't always do what I was trying to. So if that were to be fixed up a bit I think this could be AMAZING!

Maaaan I love this game! The platforming itself is very responsive and nice, with some classic platformer mechanics like crouch jumpin, but also bringing in some cool new mechanics like the platform!

Gameplay aside, you absolutely NAILED IT with the aesthetics. Both the visuals and audio are amazing and captivating. The vibe here is fantastic!

Thank you so so much for playing the game, your kind words AND the feedback! We are aware of these issues and unfortunately we had little time to clean the game up and do bug fixing etc. before the deadline. However, we are working on a more polished version of the game which we will be releasing after the voting on the game jam ends to resolve many of these issues that you mentioned! Therefore, feedback like this is worth gold!

Also, we are so happy that you appreciated our own "new" mechanics and takes on the original games. Since this is a top down 2D game, we lost a lot of the potential for puzzles that the original Portal and Portal 2 had, being in a 3D environment. Therefore we wanted to create some NEW ways of making puzzles, and by extension not making a complete copy paste of the originals and giving our own spin on it!

Wow wow wow! What an experience! The gameplay itself was fun and challenging, and on the later levels I really had to stop and think sometimes to complete them! Everything was smooth and snappy. Story wise this was also neat! It's not the first time we've seen a game where you control two different players, but this was a nice twist! And as far as visuals and audio go *chefs kiss*

The idea for this game is very neat and could be expanded on further! That being said, I feel like the aditional towers that the player can place do very little. This could be fine at the start, but if the game were to be further developed it would be cool if these could be upgraded with faster fire rate, scatter shots etc. or having more variation on the towers you can place! Good work!

I really like the artstyle on this one! The way the character acts kinda like a paper cutout is really neat! Also, is it just me or does the music loooooow key veeery slightly remind anyone else of Giornos Theme? If that was on purpose, bonus points for JoJo reference!

Thanks king, I really appreciate it! Gotta love a classic like Portal

Super interesting idea which has a lot of potential to be developed further! Some colors were hard to differentiate and in some instances the generators were blending in with the background. That being said tho, super fun and cool game!
