Great "hardcore" platformer! It plays very smoothly.
The background music is nice and fits well. The use of the theme feels a bit limited, though.
Overall I like it!

Developer

Glad you liked it!

Yeah I kind of decided since everyone else was going to have very in your face neon, I decided to go with every bit of neon standing out in the levels and it being noticeable when it did. Not sure if it worked well, but glad you liked it!

Very good, very nice !

I really like the story interweaving with the gameplay, but damn, this platforming is haaard :D

Developer

Thank you!

I tried to make the story/levels themed after the bosses.

Yeahhh I made it developer difficulty :( so I'd be surprised based on all the comments if anyone makes it to the end.

Cool concept, nice narrative, and nice presentation, I just feel the platforms are just too hard at the very beginning if there was a learning curve with the levels would be a lot more enjoyable for everyone, but good entry!

Developer(+1)

Oh thank you!

yeah I struggled a lot with the difficulty curve and making controls feel good. Thank you for playing!

Nice platformer, but the jumps are too sharp. There are not enough sounds.

Good luck with your development! =)

Developer(+1)

Yeah the controls are something I need to work on!

I made a small update to give a lot more control to the jumps and less sliding when moving, which is the version you have. But still a lot of work on them to be had! But that'll be for post jam.

Haha yeahhhh did not have enough time to find good sounds. Thanks for playing!

quite fun! love the effects, thought  the movement could use a bit of work.

Developer

Oh thank you so much!

Do you have any feedback on what is wrong with the movement? Is it an air speed problem, or more of ground movement?

Submitted

you know, what let me give it a little more play time and ill come back with a more detailed response! :) though it felt a bit slippy on the ground

You weren't lying about the "difficult platformer" part. Got stuck in level with the tilted triangle towers shortly after the first bossfight ^^'

Great game nontheless, juicy presentation and interesting level design. Controls were good but not perfect. The character felt agonizingly hard to control for small precise movements and the only way to really do them was by trying until you've got the input in your muscle memory. A SLIGHTLY slower accelation could make all the difference.

Good job on the game, would've loved to see all of it, but the next room was indeed too dangerous for me.

Developer

Ahh thanks for trying it!

Yeah seems like I accidentally did developer difficulty! I'll probably update it with better controls and a better difficulty curve after the jam is over, will let you know if you want to try it out!

"developer difficulty" haha I didn't know that term is a thing but I like it :D

Please do!
