One of the best games in the entire jam, my team have been talking about it a lot. Nice work!

Thank you for your support! We poured a lot of love into this little jam project. So glad you enjoyed it!

Absolutely stunning and very easy to understand

Developer

Hey there! Very happy that you enjoyed it!

Art, style and interface are just incredible, stunning, perfectly calibrated and beautiful. *___* But not just art: music, game-design, gameplay - everything is breathtaking.

To be honest, I just can't imagine how you managed to make this game in a fortnight. If you ask me, you shouldn't have gone to that jam with it, you should have gone straight into Steam or another game store. It's already ready, interesting and absolutely professional, it's very hard to believe that you're beginners in gamedev, it seems that you're already professional developers. I believe you will take first place in this jam, because this game is just perfect.

Wow, thank you for your amazing words and support, it means a lot. First place would really just be icing on the cake, because I learned so much going through this process and couldn’t ask for more than that.

I assure you we are beginners (though I’m a professional web developer) and this is the first game we’ve built together (but we’ve talked and talked for years about trying game development!), and the first jam we’ve participated in. The secret sauce is our chemistry, and each specialising in their particular field (me, programming; MonstersMustDie, art and design). We also took a week off work to dedicate to the project, so credit also goes to our wives for their support and understanding.

This was awesome. I love the sci fi book cover art, and the card game was pretty good. The in game graphics had a nice retro feel too. Also loved the music and FX. I was confused how you could get such a polished game in two weeks, but I see you had a good team working together. I hope you all make something awesome together in he future.

Thank you! So happy you enjoyed it. We are big fans of the genre and decided to pay tribute to all our favorite things. I think the key to reaching the deadline, aside from good communication and team work, was focusing in a very tight gameplay experience. Had to keep it sweet and tight. Honestly several features were thrown overboard for the sake of offering the most balanced and rounded experience possible. But of course, the idea is to continue developing the project further post-jam! Once again, thank you for your feedback!

Definitely. You've made a solid base, and I could see this being developed into a full game.

How could you made this in 2 weeks. My game looks like crap oh my god. You are amazing! The game is amazing! If you put it on ios and android it will be amazing too

Developer(+1)

So happy you like our little game! I think this was made possible because we had good communication and synergy between team members. Each of us had specific tasks and roles to fulfill and many hiccups were resolved in planning and design before we hit the code. We do hope to manage a mobile build post-jam. This is our first game and first jam and an amazing learning experience. I'm sure you feel the same way too :D

Of course! It's my first game made with a friend, it was difficult but fun to do!

Nice! I like the aesthetic and it looks very polished considering the time limit, tho I would love to see something a bit more detailed in terms of pixel art :D

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Haha yeah it was quite the challenge to put this together in time as it's our first game. But we hope to continue developing this concept post-jam, and specially upgrading the pixel art. More detail never hurt anyone! :D

The concept of the game was beautiful! It took me some time to understand how the game works but I manage to work it through. The music was amazing it really gave so much impact to the game! :D

Developer(+1)

Wow, so glad you liked the concept! We are definitely big fans of the genre! Your feedback is appreciated and we have taken notes for further polish post-jam!

The overall game design is awesome! Love the retro vibes and the sound design + sfx adds to the experience. The cover art was what caught my eye and it looks really good! Props to the cover artist! The theme is very consistent, which shows how much effort you guys put into this game. One feedback would be that the tutorial was a lot of text and I would have preferred it if it was an actual tutorial where the game goes through the systems. Otherwise, great job!

Developer

Hey thanks for playing and for your feedback! We have a guided tutorial planned that would walk the player through each mechanic slowly, but simply wouldn’t have been able to do it justice in the time given :(

Submitted(+1)

This is pretty good! Though the tutorial felt very much like a big information dump, and I couldn't really follow the mechanics all too well. Though from what I could manage to figure out, the game was pretty nice! I am absolutely in love with the art style and theme! Great work!

Developer

Yes indeed, a proper guided tutorial is in the works. Thanks a ton for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it.

I Like the game and all the mechanics felt good. I would spend more time playing and understanding every detail of how to attack and how to simply win

Developer(+1)

Thanks a ton for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it. I guarantee it's winnable. Like all card games though, theres a bit of luck involved and a bit of exploting the numbers to your advantage. :D
