lot of fun, replayable. music and increased difficulty made it more exciting. love that death is often the best path to victory - like the shadows of myself. took me a while to figure out the role mechanic.

a tad too difficult for me, but I liked a lot:
- the visual cues on the cooldown and enemy vision
- the effective sprite animation
- the great soundtrack
- and the non blocking tutorial + diegetic sentences helping with immersion
All that kept me going for longer than I expected! great submission :D
Very well done, probably the most polished game I've seen so far. This game is huge! It incorporates the theme very well! Congrats!
Well, I just spent 1.5 hours playing (tryharding) this game, and there is nothing much I can say. Everything is well mixed (music, graphics, difficulty), I love the idea and how it was developed.
Really a great job.
P.S. I challenge someone to beat my 112.139s :)
Interesting idea and overall very polished.
I think other comments have covered the positives pretty well. I found the “flickering” fog of war a bit disconcerting, it was a bit unclear to me why that was happening. In a few places enemies got stuck on doors.
Apart from that, a unique idea that captured the theme really well.
Fun, looks great, controls feel great. The music and map “peeking” blips really add to keeping the energy up, plus the countdown at the top. I’m usually a slow, explore-everything player and I found myself blasting through rooms to get farther in. Really fun
Amazing how many small touches and polish there is in here! I love the little conversations that are happening and how you can get a bit of lore by reading all of them over time after dying a lot. I didn’t even realize at first how the ghosts worked, but once I understood what they did, my mind was blown!
Unfortunately I did not have the tenacity to finish the game. I tried a whole bunch of times, but starting from zero is a bit demoralizing after a “long” run. At least respawning is instant, I highly appreciate it! I wonder how the game would change in feeling if there was some progress mechanic. Something like upgrading your roll or allowing one “sight” by the enemy to be ignored?
Oh, before I forget, the music is really good. It’s hard to make a repetitive tune that does not annoy you after a while, but you nailed it!
