  • When i first played this I enjoyed it. It was a cool little experience but the replayability isn't really there. It definitely needs a bit more content, I would think although this game has middle scores it sits on the upper quarter of the game jam. It might be worth continuing development on this idea. I have some mixed feelings here. I loved the graphics and music, and the suddenly appearing walls an interesting mechanic. The thing I didn't like was that you CAN go through some walls. When you have walls that become visible when you are close, that presents you with a problem you can solve with memorization. That's cool- you are using a skill to solve a task. When you can go through a wall... there is no skill you can apply to that. Now you just try to bump into every wall and see if you can go through.

I see a lot of potential here, but passable walls makes me feel like the game is cheating :)

That’s the twist - don’t believe only your eyes and memory, don’t dwell on it. The game isn’t only a puzzle, but also some sort of psychological something… Mixed feelings? To some extent, this is what I was aiming for. At the beginning, some text tell you that there is a dead end on the left, so go in other directions. But who said that it’s true? You can check for yourself whether there really is a dead end - the text manipulates you.

I get it, and normally I love the "game-messing-with-you" kind of thing. Maybe it's on me, sort of not expecting that kind of thing from this jam!

very satisfying game but how to win

Developer

You need to explore the second maze where you’ll find 3 coins. After that new path will be opened next to the entrance of the second maze (you can notice invisible wall, which is blocking a path)

How do you win this game? I didn't even get a single coin 😭

Developer

Well… I’ve just made some demo mechanics to show players what can this game be… To collect coins you need to explore the maze. Don’t you feel like exploring the available areas? If you did, you would find coins, since the second maze is not as useless as the first =)

Great aesthetic and vibe! The visuals make it a little hard to navigate though, but the invisible walls are a really cool effect.

Very Cool! The invisible walls are a GREAT idea

Cool idea

Bloom/Blur is overkill

Movement feels way too sudden but i could get used to it.

Overall it felt like there's too much stuff introduced at the same time, like the invisible walls. I had no time to adjust to the setting/controls and basically the game was on a timer and over by that point

That would kinda fix your content lack.

first level - just basic movement, nothing else

second level - timer

third level - invisible walls

Its kinda hard to keep in mind at first that you are good at your game when you make it, but other people are not :P
