  • This is a really cool little concept, there is so much content programmed into this game. It does need a bit more work but it flows nice, looks good for the time-frame of the game jam. If you could touch up the graphics or look at getting some shaders to enhance your current effect. A bit more to finish it off like hotkeys and speed up time feature as suggested. A balance pass, perhaps more interactive tutorial for people not used to tower defense games. I think you should keep working on this and show us the improved version. love tower defense games. great job on building this up from scratch i saw a lot of your WIP posted. those poison mobs completely annihilated my farms!!! lol . well done.

Thanks! Yeah the AoE mobs are a bit overtuned :D I will definitely push a rebalance and QoL update (with hotkeys!) after the voting period is over

I'm quite impressed. Pushing this out alone is no small feat. The game is pretty fun, nice variety in tower defense options, and I quite like the way you've set up pathing with the enemies. Makes the player think about optimal placements. Farmland does seem a little broken tho haha, it compounds really quickly.

Thank you! I didn't have any time to do any balancing, and after playing it myself a few times I think farms are the least of the problems lol. They take up space, which can be vital for more damage towers for when the beefy bosses show up. Speaking of those bosses, they're way overtuned with their AoE, and I haven't found a way to beat wave 60 except for saving cash so you can rebuild after the inevitable board wipe :D

Yep, everything from scratch except for most of the UI art, and I refurbished an old music track because I didn't have time to create a new track in time :D

It's a nicely thought out and made game. The only feature it's missing in my opinion is the ability to speed up the time,  but all in all great game, congrats!

Funny thing is that I did implement a fast forward feature under the hood but I hadn't had any time to test if it stayed deterministic, and my code is currently such an unoptimized mess due to time constraints, so it doesn't speed up that much when activated lol. It's definitely a high priority to implement in the front-end but I do need to optimize some really inefficient code first :D
