This really stands out. I had an absolute blast playing this! The game loop is well implemented, and everything feels quite polished for a jam. The difficulty curve feels more or less spot on.
Incredibly impressive work. Well done!
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you liked it.
Wow! This game really stands out. It feels super, super polished. Well done!!!!
I'm happy to hear that. Thanks for playing!
Great game, everything works well and the guns are satisfying to use! Minor nitpicks/improvements would be to add screenshake, make the enemies detect you from further away so you cant cheese them, and make the final boss harder. Loistava peli!
I appreciate the feedback. I totally agree on those 'nitpicks'. Didn't realize how long making the content would take so didn't have time to add that final game juice.
true, it's always tough to come up with a reasonable scope for the game that leaves time for polish. Great work nevertheless!
Yeah, that seems to be just enough of the sentry traps... Just barely XD
This was hands down one of if not the best game I've rated! This is like if plants vs zombies was in reverse, you plant your enemies. That mixed in with some QUAKE. Super creative, and super fun. Oh and ahem... I dont think thats how farming works ;)
Thanks for playing! Damn... walked right into that one :D
Well done - I didn't get to the pumpkin but I'm scared of what that would be. I like having the switch to control the differents modes of play.
Thanks for playing. The pumpkin is the boss fight of the game with it's own music. Hope you get too see it one day ;)
Hi OzMaister,
So, I've played the game again and this time to completion which is praise in itself :) Enjoyed the bad pumpkin in the sky!
A few things you could improve for sake of replayability (which I'm sure you're probably aware of):
I hope you appreciate the feedback. Really impressed by the game!
Oh I forgot my other feedback:
Thank you so much for the extensive feedback and playing again! You made some really good points. There are some things that we wanted to improve, but didn't have the time and some things that didn't come to mind at all. We might do a post-jam update with balance tweaks and your feedback will help alot. Thanks again!
Well executed with a great difficulty curve that gradually creeps up on you. Well done!
I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for playing!
This game was fantastic! Definitely my favourite game that I've rated so far.. Initially pulling the lever after planting some seeds and watching the sky go dark instilled a sense of dread.. and I wasn't sure why until I turned around to see an onion coming after me !
One of my friends said "would be cool if it had the building style of something like Orcs Must Die, with gridbased pathfinding so the traps work better". I haven't played that game so I'm not sure if I agree with him, but I thought I'd pass on his feedback (he also enjoyed it)
Had a lot of fun with it and I would definitely buy a full game based on this haha
Thanks for your and your friends feedback! Gridbased pathfinding is a good idea to think about. Orcs Must Die has a bigger grid size and more linear paths for the enemies so I don't know how well it would integrate into our game. Maybe I could just increase the effective area of the traps to make them work a bit better. Glad you had fun!
Man, this was good. You guys really used the 2 weeks well! I loved how well balanced the progression was, the personality you gave the frog, and the fact it was just the right length. I was confused for a minute wondering how to get more seeds, but after I pulled the chunky lever, I instantly understood what this game was. It's a dang good time. As I leveled up my garden with traps I could really start "farming" my enemies. The performance was taking a hit towards the end, but I'm so glad I got a better computer so I could play great 3D games like this! I really don't have any criticism, it's well balanced, paced, has a good presentation, and even a credits scroll. Great game!
That means so much to us! We spent the two weeks quite effectively, but could have used a couple more days to optimize the game some more.
Agreed - the frog getting more and more upset about being sold onion seeds was great! And a clever cue to the player to starting harvesting different enemies.
Super unique use of the theme and really fun gameplay! Really well made overall, I hope you expand on it in the future!
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it.
Super fun game and looks excellent. The team should be proud!
Thank you! As I am half of the team I can confidently say we are proud :)
Nice shooting and interesting aesthetic.
Appreciated, thanks for playing.
