How does your game represent Mode?
The game is a roguelike and you can get various modes to choose from when clearing a wave. Modes affect the way you can play the game, such as slowing time or becoming invulnerable. Two modes can be acquired at a time but you still have other upgrades to choose from.

Pretty fun shooting action! The visuals are nice and the upgrades feel impactful. In my opinion the game gets hard a bit too fast. Enemies were really funny looking though. Well done!

This game was so fun!! Loved the sound effects and the different powers, really solid foundation there. Could use the ability to increase mouse sensitivity.

Better than Red Dead Redemption 2. In all seriousness, I did actually think this was quite fun despite it's simplicity. The different modes were fun and I love the enemy's goofy death animation. Obviously there's not much content, but the fundamentals are solid. Good job!

I would appreciate it if you checked out my submission as well!

I haven't played many 3d Godot games so it was cool to check this out. It seems like a solid foundation. Well done!

Developer

Yeah it's a bit bare bones but was more like a learning project for me. Thanks for the praise!

the game's core is fun. could use a bit more content though.

Developer

Thanks! Already planning to add more. glad you liked it

The game feels a tiny bit bare bones, in terms of the visuals and gameplay, but a lot of interesting Ideas here. Following you and hoping you expand on this because you really could turn this from good to great with just a little bit more time.

Developer

Thank you so much!

I don't think you can go wrong with roguelikes and this isn't an exception! The game is pretty fun, although the gameplay still feels a bit bare bones. I think if you expand this game idea this could go places as a fun 3rd person horde shooter!

Developer

Thank you! I really want to expand the game and will probably push out an update or two.

This game was pretty fun in all honesty. It was actually easier to aim at bean people than regular people. And giving the enemies 1 hitpoint finally gave me the gun fantasy that I've been wanting: an actually realistic gun. The one thing that stopped me from playing was that the mouse sensitivity was too low, I couldn't turn fast enough to face my attackers. If it was higher I definitely would have been playing for a while. I really liked that you gave your game an icon too, and that there was only a .exe to download. I'm gonna try that next jam since I'm using Godot too. It's a cool game, and bonus points for being in 3D (which few people tend to do in game jams). I enjoyed it!

Wow thanks for the extensive review! I totally get what you said avout mouse sensitivity. Wanted to add that as an option but didn't have enough time. Probably gonna update after the jam is done.

BTW the beans take 2 hits to die but headshots double the damage and the headshot region is rather generous :P

Lots of modes! very impressive for a game jam game!

Developer

Thank you so much! I thought it was too little but people keep telling me it's plenty.

Really liked the gameplay and how the modes also change how you play the game with different playstyles in mind (like more melee based combat, more distance based combat or being alot more speedy)

I'd love to see this concept fully fledged, I think it's a pretty interesting mix between arcade horde survival gameplay with the randomness of roguelikes.

Developer(+1)

Yes me too! I wanted to implement more upgrades and enemy types but didn't have enough time. Thanks for checking it out

Wouldn't recommend downloading except for on a vm, a raw exe is a big red flag for me.

Developer

Hey you're right. I'm sorry I'm quite new to this and just followed the itch guide. Have no ill intentions. I asked someone from Bigmode if they would allow me to upload again with a .zip File and .pck file seperately if no changes to the game were made.

Submitted

It's all right man I get it. we all start somewhere and software security is the last thing you think you'll need when you do your first game jam.

Developer

It's kinda weird to be honest. I did zip it before uploading via butler. It even says .zip when I edit the game page, but when viewing it changes to .exe. Probably because the zip only contains 1 file. It shouldn't be too different anyways.

Many engines ship games as a single .exe, it is not suspicious at all. Also, Itch.io has internal tools to get rid of viruses. It is very safe to download and play.
