This was super charming! The perspective made it a bit difficult to judge where you were in relation to platforms at times, but skating around was really fun once I got the hang of it. The music intensifying as you made progress was a really nice touch! Fantastic work!

It's great that you enjoyed skating around! Thank you soo much for your feedback. We'll work on that!

The game is so cute, really challenging! at first glance it's quite difficult, but once you get the hang of the mechanics everything flows very well and the atmosphere is incredible! I loved the colors and the soundtrack, amazing game

Thank you so much! really happy you loved the game <3

I loved how the music adapts depending on how close you are to the end

Developer

thank you so much! Sku did a very beautiful work there!

double-jump-broom-gliding mechanic feels great! The game does a poor job of telling me what im supposed to do at a given time, and figuring it out myself doesn't feel great when theres pretty much only one correct answer to a problem

Developer(+1)

happy you like the witch jump!  Thank you so much for your feedback, it helps us a lot!😍

Art style is incredible, the good game is just the cherry on top. Amazing experience!

Thank you so much for your beautiful words!! 😊

Damn those visuals are amazing! Gameplay is pretty fun aswell. Feels pretty polished especially for a game jam game. Insane work guys!

That you had a good time and enjoyed the game makes us very happy; that's the most important thing!🤩 Thanks a lot for your beautiful words!

This looks and sounds great, immediately made me think of A Short Hike! You could definitely afford to tone down the difficulty, requiring a bit less precision would make hitting invisible walls and slipping off platform that look walkable much less frustrating.

Developer(+1)

Definitely, A Short Hike is our inspiration! It's exciting that it reminded you of it :). Thank you so much for your feedback, improving the difficulty is indeed a crucial point!

First of all I want to say that I really liked the art. The weather effects, the voxel art style and the particles really create a thick atmosphere and combined with the music and sound elevate the game a lot in my opinion.

The main mechanic is interesting and feels nice to use. The floating and double jumping feel great.

However I think where the game falters is the level design. It's often not clear where to go and the readability of the platforming is not that great. I also started on keyboard and found it to be very awkward to control with only 4 directions because of the angles you have to move at. But after switching to controller it felt a lot more natural.

The story was a nice touch too.

Decent Game. Keep it up.

Developer(+1)

Yeah!! The game actually works better with a controller, haha. We should have mentioned that! We're really happy  you like it and enjoy the mechanic, thank you so much for the feedback!

The level design could do some work. Take camera angles into consideration and try to leave more cues on where player is supposed to go next or use more fixed camera in certain jumps.

The presentation, however is where the game shines the most. I love the beautiful art and environment. I can tell the level design is trying to push more into the immersion part so the platforms are minimalized into small bits, but I do think level design should go more hand in hand with the environment itself instead of shying down on it.

Keep up the good work!

We agree with you, it's something we haven't had time to polish, and surely, with some tweaks, it would improve! Thanks a bunch for the feedback :D!

It's very aesthetic and fun, it's difficult, but it's a VERY beautiful game!

Thank you so much wisk! really happy you enjoyed!

The aesthetic and music is so nice. I love the music especially. I will say that i'm kind of bad at platforming, but the small amount of camera control made it feel especially frustrating.

Developer

Thanks you so much! Yeah, the camera still needs more work

DeveloperSubmitted(+1)

heheh, thank you for enjoying the game and my music <3

This is a really nice game especially for a game jam. It definitely takes a lot of inspiration from A Short Hike, but the distances are so much longer and the platforming is so much more precise. It was a lot of fun, while also being nice to look at and listen to!

I might have missed something, but when I unlocked Witch Mode, I told me my magic wouldn't run out and I could explore wherever I wanted. But the charges still depleted like normal. Am I missing something? Because I was really eager to fly around more.

Regardless, I just wanted to say I thought yall made a great game! Thanks!

Developer(+1)

Yeah! A Short Hike is our main inspiration, we love it. No, you haven't missed anything! We had a last-minute bug, and we couldn't fix that, but the fact that you made it to the end really excites us!!! Thank you so much for your feedback!!
