I actually got the ball to move quite fast, by just really quickly launching in one direction over and over again, definitely tricky though. Maybe just a tiny bit more strength will get players over that initial learning curve
Hey great game! Solid concept, and great job ramping up the difficulty as the levels progressed. Great work!
Love the idea! I thought the first two levels were good as an intro but couldn't figure out the third. I like the use of slowing time when trying to switch modes, seems like there are some cool tricks you can do.
I loved the presentation, but like others here I just couldn't get the force needed to move the ball more than a few pixels. I imagine it's either the lack of a tutorial or something with the browser (I'm using Edge) or even that the game isn't fullscreen. For some reason I just cannot get any significant vertical velocity. But I can comment on everything else. The visuals were great, seriously the art style looks really good. I noticed the dust particles too! I think the game design is good too, because I learned the main controls without any text telling me what to do. I just wish the game was easier to progress in. I did manage to collect that 1 high up star in level 2, the line seems to jump higher than the ball. Still, I get the constraints of a game jam, sometimes we can't get the result we want. Regardless it's clear that this game was made well, even if I'm encountering some kind of bug.
If you get a chance, I'd appreciate some honest feedback on my submission too!
I like the minimalistic look. Always nice to be eased into the gameplay bit by bit, which i think the levels did. Good job!
Game looks very good! I just feel like all the power you can give the objects is too low, the ball barely moves and the timer between shots makes it so you cannot try to put a lot of speed. This made the stick the only one I used, as for some reason it just gets much more power from your inputs and I also believe recharges your shoot timer faster.
Because of this, going through much of the levels felt a bit too spammy and sluggish, but I believe this game could be a lot better with just a small tweak in the values.
Presentation looks awesome! I love physics based puzzles and these shapes are really interesting. Really interested how all these different shapes would work in the puzzles.
Sadly, I cant say a lot about it because I couldn't get past level 3. Levels 1 and 2 were a good introduction to the game, with 1 teaching you the left mouse movement and 2 teaching the shape changing to get over the blocks (going line mode). The locations of the stars in level 2 already felt odd because I couldn't really get them.
After trying for a few minutes in level 3 I kind of gave up. I tried getting some upwards momentum by bouncing the ball every time it lands. This worked, but I was really inconsistent in this. There is a lot going on in every level. At one point I thought I had to go to the bowling pin in level 3 to solve it.
If I used the mechanics wrong, please let me know! I would love to keep playing this game, but either my skill or my knowledge is keeping me from it. The presentation of this game is great and I really want to see what puzzles are next!
