Fun little game! I like the different mechanics, seems like it could be pretty cool with a some more polish!

Developer

Yeah we might come back to it someday! Thanks for playing!

That's right enemy this way, no pit will get you. Enemy falls to their death. Then trap door. This game was a blast! Lots of cool mechanics.

The level with the 4 gates you can infinite jump on it.

Developer

Glad you had fun with the levels :p

The character design was the first thing that got me, I really like that style of pixel at. The game was very fun to play and it's nice to have the ability to choose how you wanna attack.

I also like the fact that you took the time to make different songs for the different levels, I didn't have time for that in my projects because the main song took a lot of work :(

At some point I had to fall at the right end of the level in order to continue, I did so and the character fell under the floor...this bug didn't let me finish :'( but I did saw there was a big red boss...it was scary the idea of facing it.

Overall a great concept for a game, you have my rating :D

With the time our artists had during finals week and busy lives they did great with the characters! It took me a lot of time to make the music for each level we made although I still wish I had more time- Thank you for the rating! Much appreciated :D

  • Loved the tutorial art on the main menu lmao
  • Level design and music was cool ^^
  • I couldn't tell what was going on some times, but at some point I gained infinite jumps and used it to bypass a lot of the enemies, or sneak pass then by blocking hehe

I got maybe 5 levels in before I had a viewport issue, which is possibly due to me playing on a widescreen monitor. Huge effort working on and getting a game in!

Good ol paint never fails for our menu. Am super happy you thought the level design and music was cool! Sorry about all the issues you had haha!

Yeah I can see the heart behind the project. I can tell that the biggest hurdle you guys faced was time and knowledge of the engine. liked the music. Gameplay was lacking in the interaction between the two modes. There were a couple of gates behind range, but not for power/melee mode. The progress bar to heal based on progression has that classic collect 100 coins get a 1up feeling, love that. Honestly now that time has been taken off your shoulders, keep developing this game. If you dm the next version I'd love to see it in a more finished state. Reminds me of the first time I tried to dev a game.

Developer

Yep! Pretty much hit it right on the mark. It was mainly 2 people on this project and we were both using unity for the first time but we put all we had into with the time we had during our final exam week! Thank you so much!

Responsive controls, i like the level design! at first is hard to notice what the shapes are meant for but when i got used to the mechanics felt very good

I felt lack of some simple animations like a feedback that the enemy is getting damage, could be just a red flash on it, or when you get damage, flashing the screen in red, or a feedback of damage

i didnt use the 2nd mode because the ranged felt a lot more fun and convenient, at the end i used the melee because the dog was above my head and following me haha

yeah you’re supposed to do combos for more damage and just bait and switch the enemy attacks but because we didn’t really have time and our animator had to  leave the project partway it ended up like this (but we're still prou of them and they did great with the time they had!). We  do have knockback and SFX for feedback but yeah- We appreciate the comment a heck of a lot and we’re happy you liked the controls and level design!!
