How does your game represent "Power"?
As you collect brains, you increase your zombie's BRAIN POWER, increasing your speed and fire rate to help fight against the humans!

Was funny to initially see as us play as the zombie, but then was also enjoyable as a wave based game, also im guessing all the art was hand drawn, really sleek animations, especially for the bigger dudes that would hit the ground when you got to close. Very fun,
Fun twist on the usual zombie game formula. Maybe I misunderstood something but it was pretty tough!
Thank you for playing! Yeah, balancing is something we need to consider if we expand on the game after the jam. We've noticed that the rifle human that shoots at you can be pretty difficult to dodge. But the game is slightly balanced out as long you try to collect brains to increase your brain power. But still, there's certainly stuff we need to re-work :)
This was a fun take on the survival shooter. You could really feel the difference in ability once you got more brains. I think if this were expanded, I could see the difficulty going up with more varieties of humans to fight. I would also love to see other items besides the magnet, though that was my favorite. Maybe there could also be other level designs, as well. The intro art is great, too. Nice work!
Thanks! Your feeling the "difference in ability" comment is pretty funny to us, cause one of the previous players/commenters expressed the opposite. So if we expand on the game we definitely need more playtesters to work that out xD I also think having more levels is some great feedback. We did initially want to have broken-down cars that could be throughout the current level so that there are some things the player needs to move around. But that'd be more spice to the already existing level rather than an additional one. But thanks again for the great feedback!
Oh that's really funny! I will qualify and say that I think I got up to 4 brain power, and I noticed the difference around 3. Once I got there, I could feel the difference, but I figured that out on the second or third playthrough, as I died rather quickly while still getting a feel for the game and wanting to see what the difference in weapons was. So initially, I wasn't sure what the brain power effected until I found my groove in the game, and then it was more apparent. So maybe the difference across players lies in that, and the effect of the brain power needs more noticeable gradient in effectiveness.
Obstacles would be a great level design feature! Hadn't thought of that.
Fun! I liked trying out the different guns and it was a funny swap. I liked the art a lot too, the brains looked very gross
This was pretty fun! definitely a fun idea to swap the zombie swarm game idea on its head to play as the zombie instead! I did kinda feel like the gun enemies were really the only ones that were a danger for most of the game, but they were a sufficient threat that it didn't feel like a problem at all. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback, and I totally agree! The original point of the runner-type enemies was supposed to sort of swarm you to prevent you from being able to hit the harder enemies like the shooters, or hopefully, the runner enemies would sort of push you towards the big muscle guys so that they could also swarm you and do massive damage with their slam ability. But the runner (and most of the enemies in general) ended up being pretty easy to kill. If we continue to work on the game after the jam balancing would definitely be something to take into account (or possibly more enemy types which another player suggested in the comments).
Pretty neat concept, though for some reason my brain power got stuck at 5 and wouldn't go any higher, still fun though!
Cool idea, and a pretty fun experience! I just think it needs more variety in some way. Maybe more types of humans, or being able to switch weapons in the round to make the gameplay fresh.
Thank you for the feedback! We'll definitely consider the more enemy types if we decide to expand on the game after the jam. We did want to add a boss that'd happen on round 10, but that idea came to us like in the last day for the jam so that obviously wasn't being added xD But I think that'd certainly help with variety. Thanks again for the comment!
Had to go with the shotgun since it's what my fellow zombies are often slain by. Enjoyed the difficulty and that red dot UI came in clutch! Now, can anyone beat my score of 89090 on round 12? ;)
Let little humans taste their own medicine! Nice game, remembered my time playing Crimsonland.
That was fun! The controls felt good and I liked the way the difficulty ramps up. The brain power tiers could be a bit more noticeable tough
