I, like michaelLochlann, also can't seem to find the EXE to play the game. But the art in the cover image looks nice, and the idea sounds like it fits the theme well!

True true, we'd be screwed xD Yeah the SMG is certainly the weakest of the weapons, something we need to balance if we continue to work on the game after the jam. Thanks for playing!

Yeah it definitely is, but the shotgun does come pretty close xD If we expand on the game after the jam we need to balance the guns a bit better :)

I really enjoyed the main platforming mechanic of being in a bubble and being able to have your boosts reset after touching any surface! I also loved the music. I also liked the art/assets of the game. They had a nice simplistic style, and I specifically liked the look of the LEGO-inspired area. I do feel like the game could've been improved level-design-wise though. Because of the boost mechanic resetting by touching anything, I could skip some segments of the game (unless that was intended, in which case good job then xD). But overall I had a solid and fun experience (I also loved the ending where your names slid into the last "Game Devs" room).

Love this game, made it all the way to day 10 :) Everything felt very balanced, the music and sounds fit perfectly, and the art-style is great! Awesome job!

Pretty fun, definitely some upgrades and indicators for certain things such as the health and timer would help a lot, but either way, nice job on your first game!

Because the game doesn't download correctly I can't give much of a review. But I will say that the art looks nice and the concept sounds like it would've been pretty original. It's a shame it wasn't uploaded correctly to the jam.

Fun idea, I wish there was a little more to it, and it would be nice to use the wasd keys instead of arrow keys to move, but the spinning mechanic is pretty cool. Nice work!

Seems like it could be a fun game, it is just extremely hard to tell how to play without any sort of instructions or tutorial :(

Fun game, it takes a bit to get used to the controls, I feel like Q and E would have been better buttons for changing which character you control, but it's very cool. Nice job!

Really satisfying to play! The only issue I have with it is there is a lot of information to learn right off the bat. It might be nice to minimize the screen to only the essentials, or put some indicators for what each number represents, or even simply a tutorial screen that is just pointing to what means what. But besides that, great game!

Really cool basis for a fun platformer! I love the Neptr design from Adventure Time, and the movement is really satisfying. I do think the thrusters are a bit hard to understand right away, it took me quite a bit to figure out the timing for the boosted jump. Nice work!

The system is there, with more cards this could be a pretty fun game. I like the fluidity of the cards' movements and just how polished the attacks feel. Nice job!

Pretty solid tower defense game :) If you expand on the game after the jam you should consider adding more defensive units and more types of attackers! Solid game, great work!

That's awesome you guys were able to make a game with a full story within the time we were given for the jam. Awesome work! I did find a skip/glitch in the final level. You don't need to open the first door in the final level. If you walk right up to the barrier you can just walk right over it. I think you might just need to raise the barrier a bit higher to separate it from the floor a bit more. But other than that I didn't see many issues :)

Loved the art style! The gameplay was very dynamic and a little overwhelming at times. But I think the challenge is exactly why I liked it. It was pretty intense trying to read and solve the puzzle on the right while also trying to help the main character while playing as Theodore on the left. I love that you have to multi-task, really makes you feel more scared as I imagine the main character would actually feel. Such a great design choice! This game was un-bear-lievable :)

Pretty cool game, it's a bit hard to distinguish which cards are considered good and which are bad, but the art style is very nice and the sounds are satisfying, with a bit of polish and balancing I feel like this would be much more fun to play than it already is, nice work :)

Thanks for trying out our game! Yeah the art was all done in Aseprite, nothing from any asset store, and thank you for that feedback. I worked hard on the animations and assets so it's nice to hear they were appreciated :)

Nice I won :) It was really fun getting a hang of the game; once I got it and started expanding throughout the map I had to see it to the end! I will say it seems like the enemies would spawn too fast, or they would at least get stuck on the geometry of the level. Some of the medium-sized guys and especially the huge guys would get stuck on each other and just not move. So the game felt easy once that happened because there weren't too many really strong people getting close to my cube. But it was still satisfying beating the game. I could really see this being expanded with more maps and different enemies if you guys continued to work on it after the jam. I'd highly recommend doing so, awesome game!

I think just a few more mechanics could turn this into a full game. Attacking an enemy is a good start, but after you kill the enemy maybe you could introduce another enemy to fight. But before you fight the new enemy you could upgrade your character based on how fast you killed the previous enemy. Or you could introduce a bigger map so that movement has a bigger impact on the game because you'll have more of an opportunity to evade attacks and fight back from different positions. Either way, it's a start to something that can be grown upon. Try expanding it after the jam ends!

Awesome, thank you xD

Thank you for playing! Yeah, balancing is something we need to consider if we expand on the game after the jam. We've noticed that the rifle human that shoots at you can be pretty difficult to dodge. But the game is slightly balanced out as long you try to collect brains to increase your brain power. But still, there's certainly stuff we need to re-work :)

Super creative game! It has that classic Flash game feel that is super iconic. Also, "body horror autobattler and roguelike dudebuilder" is such a crazy genre to say out loud xD I loved the simplistic gameplay and style, it was super fun trying to create the most powerful dude. Also having the chance to get one of your limbs cut off at the risk of getting a new shop is such a great gameplay feature. I also loved the references for some of the designs of the features (I noticed a troll face mouth and a spongebob mouth). Great game, it deserves more ratings!

Awesome, true completionist run unintentionally xD And that's good to hear that you'll work on the game after the jam. The concept is worth more exploration!

The concept is cool and the art is very nice! I was able to cheat the game though because if you just walk to the opposite end of the room you can climb the ladder even if it isn't there. So I didn't need to kill any of the enemies on the floors. I also think I beat the boss (killed the eyeball) but the game didn't end. If it wasn't supposed to then that's fine, just thought I should point that out.

Love the twist at the end, Dr. Danger is truly diabolical!

I got it in 37 runs, and 59 minutes. Really enjoyable game! I could see this expanded into a full-fledged experience that just gets more expansive into a much larger world. This auto RPG type gameplay reminds me of a game I've been playing recently called "Stone Story RPG." You also go through a world while collecting items and getting stronger. There are more mechanics in that game which I think could easily be applied to your game if it were to be expanded after the jam. I highly recommend checking it out. But your game was such a nice "short-form" version of that experience. Even though there wasn't much gameplay, something about just seeing my character get stronger always pulls me in when I play games. I would recommend that while you get stronger you should change the sprite of your character on the left side of the screen to look stronger (maybe give him armor or have him holding a better weapon). You have the gameplay loop of fighting, looking for items, dying, and getting stronger to expand into the world down perfectly that kept making me want to continue playing right away. But in the long form, this is such a cozy game I could see myself returning to each day for an hour and getting stronger (very similar to how I've been playing the game I mentioned earlier "Stone Story RPG"). With some more mechanics, and a more polished art style (not saying your art is bad, it's nice and retro) this game would be such a blast. Please consider continuing to work on it after the jam ends!

For not being able to completely finish, it's still a cool game! Nice work!

Very creative, I really learned a lot about math, and the twist of the not-teacher trying to teach was crazy! I also liked how each lesson corresponded to different enemies and the player having added speed towards the end. Really cool game!

Great options menu xD The game was super fun! When I got into the rhythm of the breath, breath, curl, it felt extremely good. I do feel like the music of the game should be turned down and the streak sound effect should be turned up (the little bing noise). Hearing that was satisfying but it was kinda hard to hear, if it was louder I feel that it'd be even more satisfying when you're on a streak. Great game with a straight-to-the-point simple mechanic, awesome job!

Really awesome game! It reminded me of old-school Call of Duty Zombies (sort of a weird comparison xD), with hordes of enemies coming your way and you just need to maneuver around them to survive. But the aesthetic was great, it fits the theme very well. I'm not sure how much more to praise the game, every bit felt awesome! Amazing job! The only critique I'll give is I just wish the game had a leaderboard. Got a score of 2469 first try!

I could not kill Power Man :( It's a pretty difficult game xD My best rank was a B. It's a pretty interesting idea for a game, and the art is quirky and interesting (reminds me of Pizza Tower). If you expand on the game you could make the right-click ability do other things rather than only being used to freeze humans. Great job!

Amazing presentation, the art and music were awesome! The game was super polished in general, not much to comment on. The only critique I have is that it felt like the hitboxes could be strict at times. I specifically found the projectile enemies to be difficult to get in front of and hit. I didn't see much of an issue fighting the other enemies, but there were a couple of moments. But not as many as with the projectile enemies. Overall, as I said, super polished game! I love retro beat-em-ups, and this certainly felt like a classic. Amazing job!

The game looks really cool, and I think I figured out what I have to do to win, but it is just very hard. It seems like I basically need to time the block perfectly with the attack, and attack at the perfect time when the robot isn't blocking, which is just very hard to do without any indication of what is about the happen. It has great potential, and I love the style of it!

Awesome game! I'm a fan of tower defense games and love the added bonus of upgrades that persist after each run. The only issue I have with this is the balancing; it is a very slow start at the beginning, and it is very difficult to do anything meaningful with the towers until about 30 minutes in. But otherwise, this is a great entry! Awesome work!

I really like this idea! I also like the hand-drawn crayon-like aspect of it; it really brings together the theme of the children's wind-up car. It would be awesome to see more fleshed-out levels with this concept. Awesome job!

Pretty cool concept! Sucks that you only had a day to work on it, but it is still a fully playable game, so I would be proud! Nice work!

I fixed the generator :) I like the idea of the game, but the premise doesn't really fit what is happening. Why the bombs? What are the blue collectibles? How do I use the jump power? It also seemed like the pink pad was supposed to be a jump pad, but it would also instantly kill me sometimes. It's a bit all over the place, which can be okay for a lot of the time as long as it fits within the context of the game. Maybe objects fitting the theme of a power station, as well as some indicators about what each powerup and other objects are supposed to do, would help it make more sense. But, this is time-limited, so it makes sense not to always have the time to get everything perfect, so the fact that it is still playable and beatable, and is still fun to play, I say good job!

That boss fight was pretty tough!

It's a cool concept, but it threw me off a bit because there is a lot of information to take in right off the bat. I enjoy the combat; it is a nice change of pace, not having to attack and only focus on buffs for a change!
