This was a really unique game, worked well in 2p too!

I really liked the aesthetics of this game. Simple shapes and lines felt very pleasing to the eye and I think sticking with black and white as your colors really helped that. The sounds also fit what I've seeing. I did have to refer to the instructions and keys on the page to remind me of the controls and the goal itself, so I think in future jams you should consider putting those in game (maybe in the pause menu as well as the title screen.) I think it was a wise decision to update it for single player, as a lot of us are participating solo. But I also commend you for going for a local multiplayer mode. That's something I haven't tried before. Bug-wise, the game didn't allow me to click back in the credits section.

Overall this was a really cool entry. You kept it simple and short, which is good for game jams. I still have problems with that myself, but it is something I'm trying to drill in my brain. Keep game jammin'!

Hey, thanks for playing and checking out the game.

The little labels on the buttons (maybe better visible in fullscreen) indicate which buttons are linked to which key. Also the local multiplayer mode is integrated. I thought of integrating bluetooth, but that would have been to much for this jam.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, I’ll integrate that into the roadmap! Cheers

No problem. Feedback is super helpful for all of us.

Note: I’ve added a very, very basic single player mode, since playtesting seemed kinda hard alone. Don’t judge the AI ;) Enjoy!

What an interesting and unique game! I wish I had someone to play with to get the full experience but I still enjoyed playing it myself :)

Hey,

thanks for playing the game and the review. Yeah, I tried to do something basic but also quite balanced, so you can get technical pretty quick.

I see a lot of people say they played alone... I'm one of them too :(
Black ones one tho...

Pretty fun , games are always better when you can play with friends... if you have ones.

Very chill and simple... I like it! Resolution options would be nice tho, cus' the game ain't lookin cute on that 2560x1440 monitor... I can always play it windowed tho.

Thanks for testing and writing the review, much appreciated!

Yeah, I just added a very simple solo mode, so playtesting is a bit more fun :)

It also seemed that the default webgl template is quite a hassle. I replaced it with the responsive one and it seems like it’s working out way better. Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers

fun idea! nice clean, fluid motion. i played against myself and won, but i also lost.  i got stuck in the options menu when I took a peek at it, the back button wasn't working for me.

Cool game, I also like the sound effects, pretty chill.

Developer

Hey,

thanks for the review! Yeah, I did the sounddesign myself using a Korg Volca FM. Maybe I can make it a bit more complex in future releases.
