Fun game!
Maybe add a quit button so we don't have to alt+f4.

Art and music was really cool.  Gameplay was unique, loved it!

Oooh this is very creative. It took me a minute to understand only because I forgot E was a thing, but once I got in the groove I lost track of time. Well done, this was good. Really like the eyes once you've stunned them.

Nice! Solid entry
Really like how the stun mechanic complements the time restricted stage of catching the animals - smart!

Very nice looking art and good choice of sfx.

Thank you!

Well done finishing this off!

The game has a very nice concept of introducing the puzzle first and then making it more challenging at night.

I would only want to explore this a bit further, with more animals or other sorts of progression, but you could imagine all of that, and it is easier said than done.

Developer

Thank you! We wanted to add more animals, but didn't get to it. Story of every game jam right ;)

Thanks for playing, loved your game as well!

Was really tricky to understand game mechanics, but when I did it was fun! I really loved how everything switches at night and the music gets reversed. Gameplay-wise this feature doesn't really do anything except for resets your progress so you have to capture the same animals once again, which is a little annoying, but it looks and sounds cool!
Nice art, nice mechanics, nice music! Nice! :)

Thank you for the kind words!

Actually the game changes a bit during the night, the chaos versions of the animals get stat improvements like shorted wait durations and faster movement. I can't fault you for not noticing, a separate set of abilities would make a bigger impact and would be something I would spend more time on if I had a do-over.

This felt... too complicated to wrap my head around, honestly.

There's lore, but the actual gameplay practically needs examples and tutorialization to work in context, which admittedly is probably out of the scope of a jam game.

The polish was excellent, though.

Yeah the gameplay is a bit obtuse, I agree! Could use a few more indicators of where to go and what to do. The text dump tutorial is far from ideal! This happens sometimes when you try too hard to make something off the beaten path. 🙃
