Really nice pixel art that's clear and concise! The game reminds me a lot of crypt of the necrodancer. I think it could do with some music like in that game, but other than that this is quite good!

Loved the art, felt very polished and professional. The gameplay was a little difficult, but fun to figure out, I wasn't too sure what the use of the sword was as it almost seemed like a pacifist game, it would've been good to use it early especially when enemies pop up out of other rooms. Great game nonetheless!

Developer

Thank you! Thats fair, I guess you could do a pacifist run, the point of the mechanic was to have you try the risk reward of going around with 1 health but you can one hit everything. Enemies popping out from offscreen is a problem that does ruin that strategy tho. Thank yu so much for playing and rating! :)

Awesome work! It's a really cool visual style, it reminds me of Baba Is You, but I always love a roguelike. Some music could really add that final element to it, but otherwise really great job. I'd love to see more from it in the future. That logo is sick also, props to you :)

Feel free to check out my submission too if you have the time :)

Developer

Thank you so much, thats fair I wasnt thinking of Baba is you but the vibe is definitely there. Yea im not the best at music but it would add something. Im glad the title is getting some love!  will look at your game :)

I propably did not get too far but I have find no use of the gold. I like the procedural generation and different look of enemies (I wish they would shoot projectiles). I find the colors a little bit hard on eyes but the animation of walkin / fighting is simple a awesome.

Developer

That's okay! after level 4 you go a shop
where you can spend your gold.

I liked this game a lot! I like how the theme is interpreted as in the less health, the more attack. Also, I love the semi-1 bit art style you chose and the wait mechanic, which solved a lot of problems that many other turn based games have, like if there is a one grid gap between your enemy and yourself. And I am really impressed how you got your procedural generation system up and running this quick. But when there is an enemy standing right on the at the entrance of an other room, you will get damaged when you are trying to enter a room, and that was sort of annoying.

Developer

Thank you I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Ah that is annoying. Thanks for the feedback!

I liked the concept a lot, the pseudo turn based movement is very interesting and the simplistic controls made it even better, although I found a bit confusing the "wait" mechanic, I couldn't find the proper way to use it to avoid damage. Also sometimes I found that an enemy is placed excatly on the entrance of the room so I got damaged instantly when entering.

Developer

Thank you glad you liked it! Ahh fair enough, its mainly as if you and an enemy are a space away you move in and then the enemies go and they get a free attack against you, waiting lets them move adjacent to you then you can attack without getting hit. Ah thats frustrating will have to fix that in later version.

Beautiful game, and a cohesive art direction. Is it procedural? Tons of levels.

Developer

Thank you, glad you liked it. Yep its all procedurally generated! The end is level 10 did you make it??

Submitted(+1)

Not quite, I played about 3 or 4 levels, and then I accidently discovered what pressing "R" does  ;)

Developer

Thats good! Oops forgot to take that out!
