Fun game! i really loved playing it!

Developer

Thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed it! :)

Good game though I wish there would be a visual indicator that the enemy took damage.

Developer

Thanks for playing, that's a pretty good idea, we will take it into consideration for any future updates.

Very entertaining game, I really like the control and the concept. I think that the music is a little bit strident, and you coudl improve the visuals a little, but the game core is very solid. Good work dude!

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it!

I agree, the music was put together quickly so it will most likely be updated in a future update.

Wow! Surprisingly! That was really really fun! I mean you nailed the gameplay. I would say you nailed what actually makes a game good so 85% of the work in making this a 5/5 game is done. I understand the limitations but I would say, if you make a game with shapes again, Just use some bloom. You have particle effects but if you combine that with bloom too, you get an amazing game that looks amazing too. Music needs work but even I spent hours and hours on music and couldn't do much. I understand it's really difficult to nail the music but really, there are just the nitpicks. You did an amazing job. It was a fun game with a brilliant boss fight! Thanks for this game! Had an amazing time!

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks, there was a lot of coding involved and neither of us has that much experience with music so I think we did well with what we had.

The bloom idea is pretty good, I'll have to research on how to do that. :)

Nice game and I presume it's your first game, so congratulation.
+ Controls are responsive and feels good.
+ Mechanic of loosing health each time you shoot is clever and force you to be efficient
+ You did it !
- Music is not very pleasant to me
- Not enough polish
- Bug with the door lock me outside of the room :(

Well done.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Yeah, as you guessed, this is my first game, for the music, it was quickly put together and we didn't have enough time to add more polish but the experience and things learned were good! :)

I like your game! I went for the 'shoot and you loose health mechanic ' too. I enjoyed the screen shake and the quick flash of particles when a triangle was destroyed. I also appreciate the controls on the back of the tutorial page. I thought the game played well and was fun.

If you wanted to improve, I suggest making the power shot go through enemies, I think that would help it feel even more satisfying and encourage the player to line up cook collateral kills. I also think the triangles that shoot should have some form of indicator that they are going to shoot to make it easier to dodge.

Overall a really fun experience! Check out my game if you get the chance!

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The power shot going through enemies, and the indicator are pretty good ideas, we will take it into consideration for any future updates.

It's really fun, but I think it would be much more engaging with a little more polish, like maybe some more screenshake and particle effects and that sort of thing. I really like the base mechanics and gameplay though!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game, I hope you enjoyed it!

Thank you as well for your suggestions, we will take them into consideration for any future updates.

Nice game!
The art style and mechanics are great!
The music was too loud, it was kind of annoying over time.
Overall good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game, hope you enjoyed it! :)

I agree the music was quickly put together to finish the game.

We will try to add improvements in any future updates.

Wow, it is quite nice. Despite the simplistic graphics, it is quite enjoyable. I love, that I can go back to previous rooms and I really like, that in the first room, there are only these target dummies, which teach me the basics.

There are some UX improvements, that would be great, for example, when I'm charging up my attack I don't want to look far away to see what my charge level is. It would be great if it was visible on the player and it started indicating immediately, that I'm charging, when I hold the button down. When I first started charging I thought that it didn't work, until the blue bar appeared.

Nice job with the game though :)

I am very glad you enjoyed the game!

Thanks as well for the suggestion, I'll take it into consideration for any future updates.

I really like the idea of having the charge shot being visible around the player. :)

Hey,

A very simple game with a very simple goal, Simplicity is beauty in the world of minimalistic and you did it!!!

I have to agree with Nature Studioz down there tho. but still congrats on submitting your game!!!

Cheers!!!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game, I hope you enjoyed it! :)

For the Art, I agree the games look similar but I can assure you they are not copied,

we just used the Unity default triangle and implemented different gameplay mechanics with the particle system as well.

Overall nice game. I really like shooters and the simplistic graphics.
When I got to the boss level I didn't know how to beat him so I was just shooting enemies
he was spawning. I saw the hp bar but didn't see it drop.

Just a tip for the music, the beat was nice but you should put more different instruments into
the mix. As a tip from me (not a musician at all) you could work with a bit slower beats per minute (bpm) I think you used the basic (for bosca ceoil which I also use :D ) 120bpm. I suggest going
lower than 90 and picking one of these (40 - slow could be used for calm games
, 80 - decent for most games,  90 to 100 agressive requires lots of work )
and also make the song longer even if it's just a loop. Unity has this problem that it loops
the song not smoothly so you can hear the cut out sound at the end. To make it
not so noticeable make the songs longer.

Overall nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game, honestly, the music was kind of an afterthought just so we could get the game done.

I'll definitely try that out, a lot of interesting stuff I learned about music just now. Thanks for the suggestion.

That was neat and really well done against the theme of the game jam : )

Developer

Thank you, hope you enjoyed playing! :)

great, little game! liked the boss at the end but a little bit less health would make it not feel so long even though it really isn't that tough. I music in my opinion was fine but gets kind-of annoying after awhile. But overall, Great Job!!!

Developer

Thank you for playing, glad you liked it!

Hi, Your game is pretty juicy as for game jam game! It is really good when player can feel the weight of a shoot. But I think there could be some button dedicated to canceling the charge, and yellow points in the boss area tends to land to close to the boss itself making collecting them a bit risky.

Overall it is a solid game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely keep that in mind for future updates.

Glad you liked it!

Fun game! Very fast paced and exciting. The blue hexagon boss had way too much health though. Considering he wasn't even that though made the fight feel way too long. Aside from that though, it was pretty fun!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take that into consideration for future updates.

Hey!

Nice game! It shows that even with simple shapes one can deliver a high octane experience which is fun!

Great job! (Wished that I managed to implement the faster controls you had in my game)

Developer

Thanks, I am very glad that you enjoyed our game! :)

Fast paced game, the music really fits the theme and the mechanic of shooting your health away makes it exciting. Only thing that might've helped make it look more vibrant would've been some post processing. But that's just a matter of taste I guess!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, glad you liked it! :)

Thanks for the suggestion as well, I'll keep it in mind for future updates.

Cool game!A rt is pretty good! But it kinda became tough at the beginning itself, and took sometime to realise what happens when you shoot at those circles in the tutorial level! Also adding a cross hair like thing to know the direction in which the player is facing could be better! Great game otherwise!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it.

We also did have a crosshair in the actual build but in the WebGL version, it doesn't seem to be showing up, and publishing the game as a Unity game only allows it to be downloaded and not played in a browser which is a problem.

This is our first game jam so I'm sure it will go better next time, thank you for the suggestion! :)

Hey np! Also please do check my game if possible :d

Cool roguelike type game! Is it randomly generated?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

We did not have enough time to make the game randomly generated, but we'll keep that in mind for a future update.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Really cool game! I love the simple geometry art style, though I think some indication of where the top of the triangle is would be nice. The gameplay is awesome, fast pace and very satisfying! I'd love to see some kind of checkpoint in each room so you don't have to restart from beginning.

But overall, very fun game! Awesome job!

Developer
