This game could be ran at x2 speed and it would be decent, there seems like there are interesting mechanics in there but it was way to slow for me to be arsed to kill the first boss (i died)
Played until 5-2. I must say the base is great, it just needs more content. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Probably you're aware that the grappling hook is not very useful at the moment but I can imagine it seeing good use with different types of bosses added. Clean entry!
Although a little buggy but the sword controls are very creative and fun to use, really great job. Cute art as well.

I liked the controls! Swinging the sword was fun and the camera shake and sfx made it satisfying! I just wish there was more to it, as it got kinda repetitive. Adding variety to boss fights or new weapons would help. Great job though!
I liked the varying gameplay mechanics and the dash/grapple mechanic was cool, I also appreciated the sword slash movement and the bosses had nice abilities.
interesting mechanic and nice style but if it was a little bit faster...
I'm a sucker for melee games and the sword really hits the sweet spot for me. The incrementing damage worked well making the player balance their attacks, waiting longer to deal out stronger combos. Perhaps if you were to increment on this idea, giving the sword more weight or dealing more damage based on how fast the swing was or different damage types if it was a stab vs a swing... who knows, super good mechanic though.
The speed of the player was good for me, dashing felt good too with it's invincibility frames. Boss attacks seemed fair but perhaps lacks the speed like the commentors before me mention. I did appreciate the parts that I felt slow about the player I could upgrade with gold, like the energy metre and stamina.
Well made, visuals are great too :)
I really liked how you swing your sword with your mouse. I think that was implemented very well. I didn't actually have a problem with the speed because I was dashing the whole time, not sure if that was intended but great game anyway.
I did enjoy the slashing thing, that was unique. I agree with previous comment, I want it to be a little more fast paced with character speed. I think it would feel more engaging. 3/5
Goated game I like the gameplay mechanics! But the game felt slow 8/10!
