Game's take on the theme
Exchange is a part of the game mechanic. All playable characters have skills that can accumulate, spend, or change mana. Mana is the main resource on which the tactical capabilities of your squad depend. And to play effectively, you must think what and when to exchange.

Did your team create the vast majority of art and music during the game jam?
Yes. But we also used some paid assets as is. And some paid assets were heavily modified by hand.

Did your game use PlusMusic?
No

Did your game use Playroom?
No

Did your game use generative AI art?
Yes. For backgrounds and characters. But after that, additional post-processing was used.

I played a few rounds, and my favourite character is definitely the healer. I think it would be cool if some of the other characters had their defensive abilities buffed, else I feel the healer is carrying the team way too hard. I didn't have trouble understanding the mechanics, and the only glitch I ran into was the music bugging out for a short period of time, but that very well may be on my side if my connection was bad. The enemies, in my opinion, could be a bit weaker; sometimes they felt like they withstood way too much damage.

If you keep polishing, you've got a solid game in the works here. Good job, all of you!

Since there are only a few days left, I am rating and giving feedback to games with few ratings. I would appreciate it if you rated my game too. No need to leave comments, unless you feel like it.

Thanks for the experience =]

Good game! I enjoyed the Art & presentation a lot. The music and theme are well implemented as well. It took me a bit to figure out the core battle mechanics. I made it to the 3rd boss, but my healer was done in the 2nd. It seems like your basically done once your healer goes.

I really enjoyed the core mechanic in this, planning out attacks in advance to make sure you have the mana you need to perform a stronger attack or heal a couple of turns away is really satisfying. The bosses are very tough and it can feel a little repetitive at times, but this really only happens once a party member has died and it feels like a losing battle already. It's a really nice well thought out and well realised system, and I'd love to see it expanded out into a full fledged RPG. The egg of doom is also a lovely boss design. Well done!

My team was wiped but I found the game very beautiful and the work accomplished here works perfectly. I had no bugs and didn't need any additional tutorial to understand what I needed to do.

Developer

I am very glad to hear it! Because actually this game is not very easy to understanding. We didn't have time to make the tutorial in time. Therefore, we tried to convey to the player more information through UI.

Thanks for your feedback!

The game's core is well made but a little more development in UI and tutorial would be nice, I played 2 rounds and lost both but I enjoyed my time with this game, good job.

Developer

Thanks for feedback! This is true, the interface is not our strong point. hehehe. But we do our best in next time.

The core idea is, in my opinion, excellent. The game worked well but I ended up spamming the same combo over and over again and I was quickly bored.

I had a lot of lags. Each animation forced me to wait one or two seconds before the game became responsive again. I have a low-end computer.

The lack of hovering effects and click-effect made me wonder if my mouse even worked.

I liked the game, overall, and it's a good entry to this jam. Very well done, fellow developer !

Indeed. This was our second jam, and we misjudged our strength a little. As a result, the game lacks a bit of variety.

The Godot engine has a certain problem with loading shaders and effects, we found out about it a little late, and our fix did not improve the situation everywhere. About the same thing happened with mouse control. But I’m very glad that we managed to finish it at least in this form.

Thanks for your feedback.

I'm happy you were able to submit such a good entry. The next ones will be even better.

Classic-turn based style is cool. I would have liked a little bit more USER experience with UI SFX so I know that I pressed something it worked. It was a little harder to follow without it. 3/5

Yeah. We definitely have a room to grow in terms of UX/UI and sound design. Thanks!

Classic turn-based
Mana management concept is a good one.
