design and music very cool.

mby sth to stop the bullets would be nice as you cant stop them? Feels a bit frustrating.

To click on the moving boss feels fun and there is no real pattern to the movement which is cool!

Very fun game! Duck hunt controls is a classic and has been implemented very well. i really enjoyed the gameplay and the boss has been designed well with his movement and attack patterns. My only critique is the way that the player is damaged. I know it’s mentioned in the instructions but it just doesn’t come across as intuitive as seeing a player character getting hit. If you are gonna keep it as the different targets that need to be defended while also attacking the boss, I would try and incorporate that idea into the themeing of the game, maybe make them villages or just bases or something that Implies “Don’t let this thing get shot”. Otherwise I had a lot of fun with this and could definitely see it as a full release.

Yo, good stuff. I adore the aim & shoot main gameplay loop - it's fun and feels good. Some of the guns took a lot of reload time which caused me to switch weapons, eventually using up my full arsenal to defeat the boss in a timely manner. This was a lot of fun, but it also felt iffy in the sense of "is this intended?" I think one way to solve that is to add some reload sound effects, or maybe a sound effect that plays if you try to shoot while still reloading. I did notice that the mouse pointer changes though, so that was a nice touch.

Ultimately, I had a lot of fun, and I really wish you had time to include more bosses! I actually enjoyed the fight a ton, it was really cool to look at and got me excited. It was just a little short for me and I really was hoping that when I knocked down that guy's HP, there would be another boss waiting for me. :)

Excellent work!

Haha! Thank you for playing and providing feedback. Actually, I've also noticed this issue, but I couldn't find suitable sound effects to use. Later, I thought about modifying the logic for reloading and firing, but I realized my code had become quite messy. I'll work on improving my coding skills to bring a more intuitive and concise game design in the future.Thank you once again!😊( •̀ ω •́ )✧

You’ve taken insipiration from Duck Hunt didn’t ya? lol

Anyway fun game, but some things cut my eye:

  • health bar is just a square. I would suggest at least making it a rectangle at least (and the icon of the plus is fun)
  • I didn’t see anything where I did shoot. maybe some missilies or explosions at that location would be a cool indicator
  • I literally’ve beaten entire game without exchanging/changing the weapons, you should do something about (maybe make so that he is vulnerable to certain weapons at certain attack patterns)
  • The art style doesn’t match the entire game (e.g.: on main screen the art style is just rectangle, while the entire game later is pixel art, I suggest that you could keep the pixel art style everywhere or the rectangle, otherwise the main game loop looks cool).
  • The idea of those red and green circles is not the best designed, I played by just shooting at the boss and won (thus the idea of healing by using those circles or healing by reloading is also not the best design, I just played by healing by reloading)

Sorry for this much critique lol, but I see it’s your first game, and it’s always good to have clear feedback lol. GG!

Haha! I really appreciate your suggestions👍; they'll help me improve, won't they? (Honestly, just getting feedback on my game makes me really happy.) I've been learning and developing this game on my own, so the production process has been quite slow. I've sourced materials from free resources online, and the UI design is still quite rudimentary. In fact, my idea was to make each weapon unique; for example, the pistol would have a fast reload speed, the rifle would allow for continuous firing with the most bullets, grenades could perform a full-screen attack, and I even envisioned a knife that could disrupt some of the boss's skills. However, my capabilities are indeed limited, and some features I can't complete😂. I've come to realize that making games isn't as easy as playing them. Moving forward, I'll continue to learn and brainstorm to create games that are more engaging and playable.( •̀ ω •́ )✧
