How does your game fit the theme?
There's a portal instead of a door, but there's a random weapon and it upgrade your speed as a reward if you protect the portal long enough.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, but I was inspired from my previous game (Limited Score) for the player asset and tried to make it look as the same than Limited Score.

yeah like mi1 said the controls were awkward but the rewards were helpful. If you want up and down to move forward maybe use control or something closer to fire instead of space or if you want space to fire use wsad instead of the arrow buttons
I don't know if I already said that to someone else but I was thinking about adding WASD and ZQSD controls but I forgot to add it before publishing the game.

really fun little game. I dont know the original but this is def something I would play from time to time just to relax a bit. The controls with the arrow keys felt kinda weird but besides that its really fun. Great work.

A really great execution of an arcade game - got 700 points before quitting. The guns were all intuitive, expect the sniper rifle - I didn't understand that you need to hover over enemies to kill them. Otherwise I have pretty much zero complaints - it is repetitive, but it is an arcade game, so that's understandable. Though more diversity would really serve well
I see the potential for this to be a really punchy and fast paced game! Felt the game was a bit buggy, and took me a while to figure out what was happening.. perhaps adding a tutorial would go a long way.

The game was fun and loved the bullets it was satisfying to shoot
it would better with "W" as a movement key along with arrow key. Btw the combo counter takes up entire screen eventually.
Anyways i enjoyed the game and this is the first game i rated for brackeys jam 2024.1 and you did a great job.
I forgot to add the AZERTY and QWERTY controls sorry and due to that mistakes there are only on Limited Score (the normal version not LS+) and sorry for the combo counter i tried to make it transparent so you still see the game (thanks for the rating)
