That was really nice puzzle game. Love playing hacker, and doing this kind of things. Maybe becauce I am programmer. Overall very fun!

So impressed by the amount of polish and mechanics you were able to achieve in such a short amount of time! Didn't quite make it through all of the last level but I had a fun time playing and figuring things out! Really great job! :D

Wow, what an incredible game. Definitely challenging but tons of fun

Quite an intriguing game! I'm not accustomed to using terminal commands, so it was a bit challenging for me, but I managed. Excellent concept, and it's definitely a good puzzle game. Great job!

Well, I almost managed to finish it, but the part with giving replaced file to another port turned out too hard for me..)
Nice one!

Still, as someone who just made a command line with history and autocompletion for my own project a couple of weeks ago, in a day or so, I must complain - it would be very nice to have at least history in such a game, especially if player is used to such a thing being present in a real CL (and I assume most of the players who played the game are)

Developer

Thanks for feedback! Yeah, that's completely on me - I wanted to add terminal utility eventually (all what you've mentioned, also selecting text, resizing windows, focusing on windows), but it proved to be too difficult for me to do it, so I had to abandon those. If I'll ever revisit this game's idea, I'll definitely try to figure out how to do all of these! (side note, Unity's Input fields are genuinely awful, just as its entire UI system)

Well... I have conflicting feelings about this game XD

I love puzzle games and I like the hard process of find a solution to a problem, but at the same time the game is way to similiar to what I used to do on my old job, so I don't feel like I'm playing a game at all. I know that this is just my own perception and not an objective flaw of the game, but it can't be helped. ^^"

I appreciated the funny jokes included to lighten the mood, the various easter eggs and memes. Is something I always like to see in videogames.

I'm impressed on how polished the UI is, and how you managed to make a game so complex in a short amount of time. Very well done!

Hahaha, your "complaint" sounds more like a praise to me - thank you! Were you a pentester by any chance?

Thank you a lot for your feedback!

AAA I loved it so much! I didn't expect a CTF game on this jam at all! Now that I found this and It's surely my favorite jam game I've played so far!
I loved  how interactive and intuitive the terminal was, and how the quite realistic i must say puzzles were designed!

During the last level, I've had multiple eureka moments. It was so cleverly made. I loved every second of it!
aaa words cant tell how much i loved the thing

edit: i must've been tired my spelling was atrocious

Thank you dearly for your comment, it really warms my heart! I am really glad you had this much fun, and that you share my vision for the game - I indeed tried to go for making it relatively realistic, and I think it did pretty well in that aspect.

In retrospect, the game turned out kinda confusing, and the loonnnggg tutorial doesn't help this, so I'm planning to make a video walkthrough soon, but I am really really happy that you managed to do it all by yourself, great job!

Once again, thank you!

Interesting game! good job.

The concept of the game is really cool. I like the game a lot because it's a bit adventurous and you have to try a bit out for yourself. Nice work

Interesting idea, I like it. I got stuck to the part where I had to delete the root of a website. The game is good with a lot of things to explore but a little too much at the beginning.
Great job, this is the most unique take on the theme I have played in this jam so far.

Developer

Hello, thank you a lot for your review! Thank you for your criticism, I think it is absolutely fair, and I have actually added a walkthrough to this page - check it out if you need it.

This was pretty fun on the start, I liked playing this, though. I feel like there should be at least a background music or more sound effects, more than just a messages SFX. It also got boring after repetition, I like how it makes you explore though, the game is very fleshed out, very cleaned up, and the menu also is really dope! I just feel that explanation wise should be more clear than it already is, like for the level you need to install mario-installer.exe for example. It was a pretty pleasant experience though and hope you can make better stuff later!

Thanks a lot for a lengthy comment! Yeah I completely agree with your complaints, after seeing my friends trying to beat the game I definitely saw my tutorial's shortcomings (and it was even worse during development lol). Also I actually planned on writing music for the game, even had an idea for an in-game mp3 player, but unfortunately had a time loss cuz of uni and irl stuff.

Once again, thank you, glad you had a good time with my game!

intereseseting game

It's a really cool concept but takes a lot of trial and error if you're not familiar with cmd. The polish on the UI was nice.

Developer(+2)

Yeah, after I saw my friends try it I definitely see that, haha. Thank you!

Definitely an interesting idea that I would've not come up with for this theme!

Very good job!

Was def interesting but a little to much to wrap my head around especially with my current lack of sleep XD

I can't seem to play, tried to web version, all the buttons do is show a blue rectangle on the right side of the screen and nothing else, once it's here, they don't do anything anymore :(
