How does your game fit the theme?
You go to another dimension using a "Door" which you need to see some parts of the level

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and player art was made from scratch, a base tileset was used for the level, but was modified, and the sound was also downloaded.

Interesting, but like many others said the wall jump is incredibly jank and frustrating to use

I think there are a lot of really good ideas in this platformer! Having the dash only work in the spirit world is cool and the door to another world is also cool. I really struggled with the wall jump, I think it needs a delay where pushing the alternate direction doesn't immediately make you drop off the wall. I'd also add coyote time to the jumps as that makes any platformer feel better.

Overall tho I think this is a really solid jam entry. Awesome job!

The wall jump needs the most work since you cannot really hit the movement keys while doing it and most of the time it won't connect after a walljump.

alternating between forms while platforming is also quite difficult.

A round of applause for your incredible achievement in bringing a game to life within the confines of a week! 🌟 Your passion for game development is truly inspiring. I really like the gate system. I think you should simplified the control. Because, as it is, controls might be frustrating: it stop your level design and the use of the gate to shine!

Graphics are good and the audio is ok. The dimension mechanic is interesting. It took me few minutes to be comfortable with the controls, after it was ok, but the wall jump mechanic is sometimes hard and not satisfaying.
I didn't passed the 4th level, maybe if you could slide more in the wall i would success, but i can't wall jump enough to be able to dash on the plateform in the other dimension, and the spike hitbox kill me when i'm on the wall, I also can't wall jump on the right plateform cause i don't jump high enough, so i would say the spike hitbox is the problem.
If you're too close to the edge of a plateform, you'll slowly start to slide.

The wall jump is the only issue I have with this game being that it doesn't give much mobility.

Otherwise though, interesting concept and cool game!

The game is ok but controls are very clunky, specially walljump, and spike hitboxes are a bit oversized.

Fun platformer with interesting ways to use the two different dimensions/mechanics! Wall jumping was a bit difficult (or maybe I did not understand how to do it properly).
