Interesting graphics, also the pictures on screen were funny as hell :)

I liked how the game progressed through conversation!

The sense of horror is wonderful :D

Nice work!!

This is an amazing game. Almost got stuck getting to the higher place, but finished it. Really really nice, loved the conversation and everything.

Love it! The story and voice acting was awesome. No.. incredible! I'm in awe. Such a great short game.

Fantastic quirky/absurd/surreal premise. I enjoyed the sentient door idea. Is this why it takes some people a really long time to answer the door irl? I kid. Overall great game experience!

Awesome game! Really impressed with the idea and dialogue, and you've balanced the silliness and seriousness of the situation very well. Nice one!

Cool! at first I couldnd the door, did not read the spoilers, got a little jump scard when I foud it and it started moving lol, fun dialogues, the bojack horseman was the best

Amazing game yet simple in concept, i love seeing story-driven games in jams because i know how hard they are to make. Voice acting and overall audio are also very good. Graphics are simple but they do the job. I wish at the end there was less standing around while characters talk but it's fine.

9/10 :)

aww man this is so good. super impressed with the writing, voice acting, the silly door running along the wall, the fridge's water trail, the perfect theme fit - all in such a short period of time. really captured and distilled that firewatch feel (hope you don't mind the comparison). really well done guys, gonna suggest the rest of my team give it a play :)

Pretty good. Interesting an different take on the theme. Perhaps some polish on the "puzzles" as I did get stuck just as your "help" - section predicted. :D

Other than that fun to see another narrative - focused entry like mine. :D Alot of horror games in this Jam :D

wow, I don't know what to say.

The sounds are definitely 5 star quality!

apart from the graphics and the fact that the fridge is empty :D very well done! Congrats!

I hope you will polish the remaining bugs and ugliness.

The subtitle would really be a great idea!

I absolutely loved this one! The voice acting was sooo good! The writing was really witty, and the details of the game voice chat and the Bojack’s parody were both really funny. The whole game was also really well fit for the jam theme.

In terms of gameplay, I got stuck twice without knowing what to do next, and decided to reset the game to see if maybe it was a bug or something. But once I got pass those two situations, it was a breeze.

Something minor that I also wanted to bring up is the option to add subtitles. As a non-native English speaker, I could understand the game perfectly well, but I wished I had it as a backup in case I missed anything. I think that’d really add to the gameplay, while also making it more accesible for beginners speakers and people with hearing loss.

Lastly, I really like the message the game gives. It’s pretty healthy advice. Kudos to the team for the great job!

Thank you for playing our game and for the feedback and suggestions! We fixed some of the crashes, but there are definately still some weird bugs that only (or at least much more frequently) occur in the web player. When the rating period is over, we are planning to add subtitles and some more environmental hints to guide the player!

Developer(+1)

I’m so glad you enjoyed it (especially the Bojack/voice chat stuff, it was very fun recording that hahah), and thank you for all the compliments!! Definitely agree about the subtitles, especially since the game revolves so heavily around sound. Thanks for the feedback :)

Truly exceptional voice performance, perfectly encapsulating the essence of the game.

This is so kind of you, thank you! :)

This game was quite an experience.  Extremely imaginative and creative, especially for a game jam entry.  I was initially expecting a horror, but it took a surprising turn.  A good take on the theme.  Audio was completely flawless.  Story was highly amusing.  I particularly enjoyed the Bojack fan episode.

As for criticism, I'd say it needs a more game-like element to it, as it felt like I was watching a short film.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words, they mean a lot & I'm happy you had this experience :D (especially the bojack episode, I had a lot of fun recording that lol)

Hmm yeah, I can definitely see that - I think in the attic is where it needs some game-like elements most. My buddy had an idea that we could make it into a sort of extending hallway. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback!!
