How does your game fit the theme?
The first half of the game is spent in a low-stakes environment talking to characters and learning about the worlds. But trouble is brewing. The storm occurs at the end in a climactic and heartbreaking twist.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Some sound effects and sound ambience were pulled from Epidemic Sounds. Everything else was from scratch.

Love a good story in a game jam, and the music is excellent! Not usually a visual novel fan, but this was great!

I love this, is brilliant. The only problem I found is that Caharel name´s is out of place and the use of dark blue over brown is not very good

Generally not a huge fan of these types of games, doesn't help the fact that so far every single piece of art was AI-generated. I don't know what else i can say, the story is nice.

5/10 :|   don't use Ai next time

Hi there! Thank you for the comment, I'm happy you took the time to play our game! I can advise, AI was not used to generate any of the artwork for this game, and all artwork was created from scratch. Have a wonderful day!

dont accuse someone without proof.

I didn't really wanna come back to this but here is the proof i guess

Now to be fair these types of detectors can make mistakes, so here i can go over why i personally think those are AI-generated:

- this isn't actually pixel art, the pixels are all different sizes you can see this best in image number 3 where pixels are all over the place

- there are pixels in places that dont make sense, this is best seen in image number 2 but that could be said to be an artistic choice

- the style changes all over the place

I did make a mistake in my original post saying everything is AI-generated. This was a mistake since some of the art isn't. I found all the characters are likely to be made by a human, so great work on that, those look awesome, very impressive.
Some of the backgrounds also use a pixelation filter so those probably aren't Ai-Generated either.

I don't mind the use of AI in games, but I wish people were more honest when AI was used or if it was used at all.

Have a great day <3

Really good all around! The backgrounds are lovely, and I loved seeing what the characters were like between worlds.

Lovely worldbuilding and art! Ran into a few instances of the same dialogue running twice but overall was a pretty and enjoyable experience

Enjoyable and relaxing. This was not my regular style of game, so it was an entirely different experience for me. I really enjoyed the music and visuals, and the story is really good. Good job.

As many may say, the art style is wonderful! This reminds me of Doki Doki literature  club. Sometimes when pressing continue the part repeats itself which was quite confusing. Some other parts you progress backwards, not sure how?  But it works, quite an ambitious project for a game jam. Very unique compared to the other entrys that I've played so far!

The art is beautiful and the story is well made. I ran into errors a few times while playing it, but I was able to just click 'ignore' and keep moving on.

Developer (1 edit)

I appreciate the kind words! By chance do you remember where the errors came up?

Submitted(+1)

it might be different from the one Elder_Yeti encountered, but I stumbled across a "Sayer b 'i' is not a function or a string" error in the first loop (when you got teleported back to the Valley) while interacting with the golem.

Developer(+1)

Ohh I know that one, I think I was able to get it fixed. Thanks for the pointer!
