Nice idea that fits the game jam theme! As some others have commented, the text font is pretty hard to read, but that should be a relatively easy fix. I think some more in-depth instructions would be useful to help explain the mechanics of the game; it was pretty confusing to figure out what exactly to do.

I also encountered a "bug" where clicking on the icon to open the "Propaganda/Favors" menu would automatically select whatever country was underneath the icon (So anytime I wanted to select a propaganda or favor to purchase, it would de-select the country I had highlighted).

Great game! Found a couple of bugs. I could not select Netherlands and Luxemburg and I think the game sometimes resets when the revolution is taking of because I get the start message again and the amount of people on the revolution goes down significant.

Thanks for playing and feedback

Congrats with your submission! That's a really nice take with the theme and I like what I'm seeing!

I, of course, started with France to see where it would lead and rapidely  "contaminated" the neighboring countries. Though I had difficulties making my revolution spread further. For feedback, I would mention the UI since it's the core of the game. Some parts were difficult to read for example the pricing of each propaganda/favors, maybe highlighting it or making it bigger would make it clearer? Apart from that, I would love to see more random events based on the revolution, I think there is potential ^^

Do you plan on continuing the game after the game jam?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and feedback, for now after jam I'm planning to implement tweaks and fix bugs that other mentioned in comments to make this stable prototype, then add some content and make game difficult but winnable. After that, it will depend on how many players will be eager to play, and if there is a chance to get funding on the project.

Would like to play this game, but I don't have a Windows machine. If you make a Web or Mac build sometime I'd be happy to check it out. All the best!

Thanks for information, I don't know if this would violate jam rules, I will check this out and let you know if online build would be possible

Submitted

Sure. Post-jam is also fine.

It's obviously a little rough around the edges, but I really like the idea. It's a very unique take on the theme. A little more work, and this could be really fun

Thanks for playing and review, I'm aware that some things can be improved, and I would really appreciate it if you can share your thoughts about possible improvements

Sure. I think my main issue was figuring out how to play properly. The fonts made it hard to see how much things cost, and I think by choosing a clearer font it might've been clearer that there were two resources in the game. I also didn't really feel the impact of my decisions, it felt a little bit like the game played itself, so maybe think about how to make decisions more meaningful.

Like the graphics, I suggest putting the 2 files into 1 zip file so people don't forget to download the pack file.

Developer

Thanks for playing, review and suggestion, I completely omitted some technical staff like this, because it's my first jam, in future I will keep it in mind

Hi! Unfortunately game is not working properly. Windows cannot be closed, so its impossible to play. Also no sound. I really liked the graphics.

Developer

Thank you for information, I will look at this and try to fix it
