How does your game fit the theme?
You have to sail out of a storm until everything is calm.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I got some code from chatGPT and I got all the assets from the
unity asset store.

Nice idea for an arcade game, but in my opinion it was not tested enough, for it was hard to play because of lack of canon direction indicator and slow turning. In most cases you lost the game because enemy ship getting you from behind or tornado shifting direction to you, also there were some graphical glitches, but still, good job, keep it up!

It's a fun game, which has a lot of avenues.  I'd definitely like to see more pirate games.  I liked the music and sound effects.  The enemy still attacked me after I escaped the storm though.

Recommendations:

- You should have uploaded at least one screenshot of your game.

- Hard to manoeuvre the ship.  It turns so slowly, while the enemies move quite fast.

- The ship gets damaged as soon as an enemy even touches it.  That feels too harsh, especially as manoeuvring is so difficult.

- Clearer view of the rear.  I could only see a part of the side.

- A pause feature.

- Ammo indicator.

- An indicator of how far to reach the goal.  Just something as simple as a distance indicator would suffice.  Maybe a compass, if the goal has a particular bearing.

- Get a better water shader, there are a lot of them available.  It has hard to make out the water features.  This meant you couldn't clearly see the ship's motion.  Also, add features like fish, or rocks.

- An actual storm.  Create a rain particle effect.  Add some rain and wind ambient sounds.

This was fun! The flat looking water made it a little difficult to see how I was moving, but I think you got something here! I especially like the way you did the controls, the way changing the perspective is weaved into the gameplay. Some work is required, but it's a solid concept!

Nice concept, liked the idea to switch in 1st person

Excellent music, it made a great first impression!  The violin  and accordion together is really fun.  I feel like this game is pretty juicy, I really like the particle effects for the water under the boat and on boats being destroyed.  The sound effects are really meaty too!

I liked that you had a tutorial prompt on the menu, but I really needed that while playing.  I totally forgot all of them once I started the game up.  If you're going to keep improving this I'd be sure to throw that screen in a pause menu at least, but definitely try to get them in game at some point.

Good job!

It is a good game but it would be nice to have controll over all the canons in both views an still be able to steer in first person.

The music an art is nice though!

Nice Game..

Really nice mechanics and animations.

I would suggest letting the player shoot side-ways and back in third-person, and also shoot side-ways and back in first-person.

Also when in first-person, maybe change the controls so the player can look around with the mouse while still navigating the ship with A and D.
The connection to the theme is a bit weak.

Also add some screenshots/videos to the game page!

Overall great potential and good mechanics, good job!

in the image I won the game,  and then an enemy ship hit me, so I won and lost in the same time XD :

This was a cool concept! I like the idea of switching from first person to third person. It would have been cool to walk around on the ship and maybe shoot some of the other cannons too. I got pretty far in the game but ran out of cannonballs (oops). Good job on your game!

I think it's pretty fun! I liekd the ability to change between the perspectives. To improve it, perhaps how much ammo is left could be placed as an indicator near the health.
Nice job on the game!

Proper UI and some indicators would be great.

Nice gameplay. I thought at first the tornado was a fire lol

Hee-ho. Cool ships. Nice gameplay

It does need some work,  but it could easily become very cool! Few points I think you should work on: I don't think the enemies should be trying to run into you, it'd be much cooler if they engaged in naval combat, although that is a bit hard to do. This would be a very ambitious project. Also the water really could look better, again pretty hard. I don't think I could do as much as you did to be honest, congrats on the submission!

Developer

Thank you for testing my game. I tried to do naval combat and better waves but it was very hard and I didn't had enough time.

That's very understandable, you still did a very good job!

Cool concept, but i found it hard to actually hit the other ships with the cannon since they go right into you rather than going at you from the side. With a lot of work, this can actually be a really solid game!
