Ranked from 9 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
The game starts off by letting the player feel like there is not much going on, but once the storm starts rolling the player finds themselves with an urgent need to keep the command station and their ship repaired until the storm has fully passed.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything except the label font was all made from scratch. The label font was a font called "Upheaval" made by Brian Kent.

I didn't really understand what I had to do but it was fun flying around.

That’s fair, I was a little too ambitious for what little preparation I did and ended up running out of time before I could fix what I had. I appreciate you taking the time to try it out though! However, if you’re interested in seeing what I wanted to have finished for this jam, I will be re-releasing the game as a demo with an updated build that I’ve been working on (once the voting period has concluded). I can’t promise it will make more sense (given that there’s no tutorial built into it yet), but it definitely works a lot better to where it plays like an actual game instead of having all these bugs. Anyways, thank you for giving it a try and taking the time to provide feedback!

Nice submission! I really enjoyed flying the spaceship, I found it super satisfying whippin' around haha. Good job :)

Thank you for trying out my game! I appreciate you taking the time to play around with the ship controls despite the issues with the game itself.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to try it out! I was going to add some images, but at this point in the jam I don’t know how much good it will really do. However, in a new build that I’m waiting to deploy, I did go and fix all the issues and add in some of the things that I didn’t have time to do. I will be releasing the new build as a demo on my page, as a separate project, once the voting is over.

Nice handling of edge cases, flipping the ship around at the edge of the playable area (and doing the same when running into the space station). It was a fun time zipping around at max speed and actively trying to avoid the storm shelters so I didn't get slowed down. Great job getting all these pieces together on your first jam! I look forward to seeing what you're able to pump out in your next jam.

Thank you for trying out my game! I appreciate you taking the time to play around with it and providing feedback. I had a lot of fun for my first jam. I ended up learning a decent amount just from trying to adapt my idea to fit within the time constraints. Hopefully I can use that to improve my way of doing things to be better prepared for next time. One thing I wish I did was spend more time setting up before the jam started. There’s definitely some moments there where I could have saved myself some time.

I don't think I was able to fully grasp it, but I like the music and graphic style, it's also pretty fun to fly around.

Thank you for trying it out and telling me what you think! I’ll probably go in and fix a lot of the bugs when the voting is over tbh. I was running behind on some of the features I was working on unfortunately, but I think the concept is still there. It’s mainly just: keep the station and ship repaired while the storm passes through. I can see bugs with the damage and repair rates though.
