Wow this has some real potential!! I think having an editable menu can either make it too easy or way too evil for the player. In the end even with just a cheese sammy I was still having a lot of trouble! But I think this could be so fun if there were levels and a menu that got bigger and bigger with each level, seriously lots of potential!! I love it!!

How does your game fit the theme?
Calm: Peacefully exploring sandwich combinations and building your menu.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is our own... for better or worse.

Fun game!! Pro tip: Just choose Bacon Lettuce Tomat in your menu ;)
Very entertaining and unique game! I made the infamous mayonnaise sandwich and tried to serve that; what a terrible idea lmao
Some criticism:
- There should be a clearer indicator ingame that shows you're going to throw your food out the window
- Non-pixel art food truck looks a little off in the pixel art town
- Main menu music is kinda annoying. Thank God it's just the main menu music
Fun and unique game! Making your own menu is an interesting feature!
I really like that the game is made up of two phases! It makes it so original and the game has always something different to offer, good one! Just a suggestion, I'd like to move also with arrows!
Fun, but very difficult! I spent most of my first try just getting to the first customer, and once I got there, didn't realize I needed to angle myself in a specific way to throw the food at the customer. I did pretty well on my third run though!
I would've liked it if the customers randomly ordered extra mayo/pickles/etc. to the orders so there would have been more variety, and usage for all the ingredients.
Very fun game. However it's not very intuitive what to do during lunch time.
Cool game :), just wished that the wrapped sandwich would directly go to the customer(if you're close enough) rather then trying to aim it with the van(just makes life easier, especially that you still have a timer)
Hope that you'll also rate mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
Amazing game! Loved that you could make your own sandwishes, the driving was a bit difficult but overall great job!
Incredibly funny experience, did not read the instructions whatsoever and was just cooking up ridiculous sandwiches, only to start the game to find out I had to actually remember and deliver them xD
Luckily my British Delight came in clutch (bread, pickle, bread) and secured a probably horrible score of ~3500
Hey, like the concept, making sandwich then selling it. it Would be nice if you could expand the wide of the road a bit to have more space to drive around. Also I could not figure out how to deliver the sandwich. I think you could add that to the controls. Or maybe I missed it. Like the music, it much the dynamic of the game
The game lacks a bit of explanations. In my first game I ended up having customers who were all asking for <null> and so I couldn't get any points ^^' So I don't know what I did wrong :')
Otherwise the game is interesting and the alternation of gameplay is cool. I typically see the game played by 2 with one person driving and another cooking ^^
Bravo for this entry!
…ok idk if it was only me, but I felt like the controls were… reversed?
I kinda got that feeling of those old Flash games I played when I was a kid, and it was quite the nostalgia trip. I’m gonna be honest, it wasn’t the game for me. But, I do rescue two things:
-
The wrapping (heh) overall was pretty consistent. My sandwich didn’t drop juice, and was pretty neatly wrapped in a consistent sheet of adorable paper. Gonna admit, it was adorable.
-
The audio was punchy. The overworld track gave me sooooooo many memories of my childhood, for whatever reason, that even if I sucked at the game… it made me happy. Like that smile on that bread. Just chillin, just c:
I did have a chruck naming my sammiches tho askldjalskdj
Good fun but I made the mistake of renaming everything with rude names and then not being able to remember how to make them again :P
