How does your game fit the theme?
It's unfortunately just a demo, but the story of the game surrounds investigating why the island's storms have been getting worse, and solving problems by throwing pots at stuff.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, we did.

Really gutted this is only a demo! Hit a really good niche of 90's RPG vibe with modern sleek movement and design, would love to see this updated!
Nice visual style! The gameplay feels really solid, the movement feels very polished too. Reminds me a lot of modern “retro” games in terms of feel. Well done!
I really like the visual style, character design, details on character damage, and audio in this. The simple mechanics were also very enjoyable and worked really well. Nice job on this game!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game. It makes me happy when people notice those small intentional details. Meta_Crystal did a fantastic job on audio / music.
Mechanically, we had planned for much more variety, but in the end we had to focus instead on just getting something playable out the door. I'm so glad you enjoyed it despite its simplicity - we're looking forward to expanding on this project a bit and realizing some of those original ideas we had going in.
The game is nice, but it would be better if you could choose the direction of the "shot" with the arrow keys. Currently, the player is forced to shoot in the direction they are moving, which makes it necessary to "snipe" the flames from afar
That's a great idea! Initially this game was designed with simple controls in mind, but I don't see any reason why we couldn't explore this style of controlling the game. Maybe as an setting or something under the options, or as a decision during the tutorial or something. Thanks so much for playing!
It would be better if you scaled down the environment and focus on moment to moment gameplay. The reason is because I can see a lot of down time. But hey, good work on finishing the game.
Yeah, starting with such a massive island really kinda bit us in that respect. I had considered setting up borders to keep people on the narrow path to the actual content, but I simply ran out of time sadly.
The final game world will hopefully have a bunch of _actual_ exploration to do, rather than mindless non-exploration of a nearly empty island. So apologies for that sour experience.
What a great idea. It feels like old school pokemon with a fun little twist. Love how the pot throwing mechanic is introduced and executed. Well done.
The game is really cute, the pot throwing mechanics are amazing and movement is so smooth. Great job!
Awesome game! Movement and pot throwing feels very natural and the sound is great.
Very cute! Loved the sound design. Would love to see what other enemies youd have in the full game
The pot throwing mechanic was very satisfying, all the game was really missing was a better sense of direction and a little more content, however, I enjoyed the demo, keep up the good work! (Also when he said that clay was cheap I proceeded to destroy every single pot lol)
Feedback: probably boundries to prevent people from going far away from the game's path only to find nothing there. Other than that this is one of the better submissions I've rated thus far.
