How does your game fit the theme?
The game takes place during the week before a war. The war is "the storm", and all the gameplay is the more calm stuff before it

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and drew everything except for the notebook paper background that the pictures are drawn on, and the desk in the background of the menus.

Nice game and concept! I think I'm echoing what others have said already, but while I can tell a lot of thought and planning went into it, it may have been a bit complex for a game jam submission. However, I think you've made a great game!

Interesting game! love the hand drawn look for the graphics. The mac version doesn't work for some reason so i played it in the browser. But enjoyed it. Very cool concept and makes for some complex strategical planning. Well done!

There is a lot to take in and understand all upfront and with the set resolution it can be hard to read the text at times.

This is a really creative concept, and I can see a lot of effort went into it. The art style is fantastic and really adds to the overall charm of the game. However, the complexity might be a bit much for a game jam format, especially without a tutorial or a simpler starting point. That said, it's still an enjoyable experience, and with some tweaks to the learning curve, it could really shine. Keep making awesome games!

This is a really cool concept for a game and i can tell alot went into this.

However, id say this is a little too complicated for the game jam format to reach its full potential, maybe if it started with a tutorial or started simpler id be ok

Other than that, really enjoyed it! loved the artstyle

Keep making games

I absolutely destroyed all the opposing kingdoms with my immense army and then while my army was away they cut my head off and put someone else on my throne ;(

Great game

Interesting concept but I really didn't understand what was going on. Also, it was very hard to read the text pop-ups as they disappeared too quickly.

I like the concept, but felt pretty heavy on the RNG side.  Really like the art though!  Solid work!

after day 1 the RNG is based on your stats, if you have higher power you can steal easier and are harder to steal from.

Very unique! Nice job  on the art style, and I love the general theme!

I think that the concept is interesting, and with a bit more time and tweaking it could be a great package overall.

Constructive feedback:

  • As each action/turn generally boils down to chance, sometimes I feel that I can't have much impact on the overall result of the game, taking away my agency as a player.
    • Idea: I'd think about ways in which the player could decide on improving other aspects of their kingdom that would have an impact on the actions that are a % chance. E.g. Improving ability to steal, improving internal intelligence so other kingdoms are less likely to be able to spy, etc.

Well done on the submission!

the chance is affected by power stat and happiness stat

The sketch graphics are funny, the game is a simple text RPG but it is fun and the Cameos of (him and his friend) are superb
